zx1976: There's a Windows front-end program which has a few configuration options (which map to known DOSBox settings - scaler, aspect ratio, full screen, audio device, etc). Inside the installed directory is the game directory itself (with reassuring all caps filenames and the original INSTALL.EXE), a separate dosbox directory and a config directory with a partial dosbox.conf in it. I guess the wrapper executable is supplying a command line with the extra params.

WinterSnowfall: Thank you. It's pretty much certain at this point it's the "DOSBox-ed" original. Strange that they wouldn't mark it as such then. Perhaps it's simply an oversight.
Indeed it is a DOSBOX version but with a more complete and elaborate launcher to configure it ( similar to another sim previously released in GOG, Megafortress). The dosbox.conf file is easily editable, though, present in a config folder.

It is interesting. It comes with a modtool.I ignore if it was part of any edition of the game in the past, or what really it does.

The release seems to be pretty polished and elegant. indeed.

Thanks for another free game! And cool to see more classics added of course. :)
Hi GOG,

Great to see B-17 Flying Fortress back on your store.

Also, thank you for the dedicated Best Games of the Decade collection page.
Very interesting finds, considering I've been usually following high-profile titles throughout the years.

Especially for the 2010s and 2020s - I must have missed titles like Warcraft 1 & 2, House Party, Lust Theory, Chasm the Rift and Being a DIK.
I'm very surprised and ashamed of myself for missing such absolute gaming landmarks of the last 2 decades.
Thanks for the game.
Looks like "Hello, world! (#2 of unknown)". Which is awesome! (GoG are the best; voted with my wallet)
Thank you, GOG!
Thank you for the giveaway. :)
.
Another tasty fish. TY!
Thanks for the gifted copy of Sigma Theory: Global Cold War. And I enjoyed browsing the Best Games From Each Decade page. :)

GOG.com:
I'm not sure if it's already reported elsewhere, but I just stumbled upon some kind of store bug—check out the attached screenshot; It even links to the Paradox sale instead of the D:OS II storepage.

No manuals for B-17 (1992)?
Why?
I still have my Atari ST box/manual, but this is a really stupid move if it is not included.

Ah, good. Because last time I checked in the store they are not mentioned.
