Looking to complete a full $20 worth of purchases to get Stalker Clear Sky. Right now I'm $3.28 away, and I'm already planning on buying Sudeki, which will leave me $1.79 away.

What do you all think of Anachronox? What about Tetrobot and Co.?

Or what other suggestions might you have, to fill that last $1.79?

I generally like platformers, shmups, and JRPGs, and I grew up on various old DOS platformers. These days I often play various indie games, predominantly 2D ones.

Things I already have:
Septerra Core, Fallout (1, 2, Tactics), Duke Nukem (1, 2, 3D), Torchlight, Giana Sisters, Strike Suit Zero, FTL, Retro City Rampage, Thief (Gold, 2, 3), NWN2, Beyond Good & Evil, Rogue Legacy, Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, Cosmo, Secret Agent, Hocus Pocus, Crystal Caves, Gex, Terraria, Valdis City, Raiden III (Raiden Legacy sucks), Witcher 2, and a few other games that have been freebies (e.g. Dungeon Keeper Gold, Magrunner, AvP Classic 2K, etc.). I also have various other games on Steam.

I was considering Superfrog but apparently the HD version sucks and the original one doesn't fill $1.79. I also considered Papers Please but it's no longer on sale.

Also, I kinda have a backlog of games but if there's something that's quick and easy to get into I might be more inclined to pick it up. On the other hand, I have at least two major WRPGs on my backlog right now (NWN2 and DAO) as well as various other larger games which I've barely gotten into.

Are there any nifty platformers I may have missed? Especially old DOS platformers or indie platformers.

And any other suggestions?

It's a bit over $1.79 ($1.99), but I don't see UnEpic in your list above.
I would also recommend Earthworm Jim 1+2, but it's noticeably more expensive ($3.99).

Anachronox has JRPG-style combat and character development, but plays like a WRPG in many other respects. It's also story-heavy, with many dialogues and lots of exploration, while the combat is not its strongest point.
I have UnEpic on Steam.

I'll consider EJ 1+2. Though, keep the suggestions coming!
Trine 2 is a good platformer. 90% off right now @1.99.
I don't see it in your list above and neither in your Steam profile. It's also not an Indie or a DOS platformer, but I would still recommend Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project. Unfortunately, it's not currently discounted.

MP is worth full price and then some, and I don't even like platformers.

Seriously underrated platformer IMO.
How about Magicmaker ($1.99)? I got it during this sale and for that price it's a neat diversion for a few hours; a simple platformer with light RPG elements (like quests, customizing of your appearance and your spell, wand and robe abilities). Might serve for a few coffebreak sessions in between tackling your backlog, if you like Terraria and Magicka (it's not like them, but shares some similarities).
Thanks for the suggestions so far, some of these seem pretty interesting.

Sort of a "why not ask" question...

Are there any strategy games that are relatively easy to get into?

The ones I found easy to get into are:

Empire Earth Gold Edition ($1.99)
KKND (Not currently discounted)
KKND 2 (Not currently discounted)
Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga (Again, not currently discounted)

Maybe get Superfrog and another game. I'd suggest Monster Bash. It ends up a bit over, but you get Superfrog (which you say you want) and another DOS platformer.

Oh, and there's always Super Hexagon if you need to fill an extra dollar.

Also, I'd say Deadlock is a fairly easy strategy game to get into.
I think Commandos is easy to get into strategy wise; easy to learn, very hard to master.

They are all about a dollar as well though we should get paid to take #3. :P 1 and 2 are timeless classics.

Anachronox is absolutely brilliant. It's heavily inspired by games like Final Fantasy VII, but with an extremely humourous tone. Great characters, an amazingly detailed world and lots of things to do. This game is one of the few RPGs I ever finished, as I'm not really good at getting through long games. I finished it in about 20-25 hours, but that's just because I didn't do many of the sidequests.
Seriously, I can't recommend this game highly enough.

As for platformers, you might want to take a look at Realms of Chaos, which I found to be rather reminiscent of the pre-Symphony of the Night Castlevania games.
Monster Bash isn't bad, either.

In regards to strategy, check out Stronghold or Stronghold Crusader. Great RTS games that forego a lot of the more annoying aspects typical of the genre, but still retain everything that makes these games fun.
Which one to get largely depends on what you prefer: Stronghold features a fantastic single-player campaign, while Crusader is excellent for custom skirmish games.
King of Dragon Pass is one of the best games on this site (obligatory "in my opinion") and it's only $1.49 right now. It's like a strategy game mixed with an RPG mixed with general weirdness, and it's glorious once it clicks. Which, full disclosure, takes a little while of learning the mythology and which actions are best suited to which seasons.

Sure, you'd come up short of the total you're aiming for if you went that route, but you could then fill that up by picking up Witcher 1 so that your copy of Witcher 2 isn't lonely anymore.
