i guess no ubisoft games past 2011 will ever come to gog. perhaps they truly are too entangled in the uplay garbage. however, if pirate copies do work (and i don't know) that means they could -especially officially- be made to work drm free and could --in theory-- come to gog.

frankly, what's the newest and biggest major game on gog right now? i'd say dying light. (obviously witcher 3 & shadow warrior 2 don't count, and some ea games like crysis are good examples but much older than dying light)

these are the final years of the dying pc gaming scene. from now on, it's only deeper and deeper into the cloud. eventually games will not come to gog simply because they will be too cloud reliant (even for single player games) and not even because of policy.

Torment?

I've been hearing that for about 20 years now. Somehow, I stopped being much concerned ater the first decade :P

As an avid fighter and shmup player, I'd say the PC scene is at last rapidly picking up for the first time in decades. Couldn't be happier!

Breja: Torment?
nah, that's too indie and niche.

no, this time it's real. the others were not real, and if you fell for them you were naive or uninformed. most ubisoft games are going into the cloud deliberately. even sp titles because of policy.

the point is, skyrim, a now 5 year old game and only sp and still no gog version. matter of fact most newer bethesda games not on gog. seems there is some issue with that. i guess gog isn't even powerful enough to get skyrim. that fact alone proves policy issues still a problem for scumbag companies like bethesda.

Oh. You might want to tell all the websites and magazines that have been hyping it up like crazy the past few months.

Ah. Well, that changes things entirely.

You do realise that games from Bethesda and Ubisoft =/= the entire PC gaming scene? And that GOG isn't the entire PC gaming scene?

You are not talking about the death of PC gaming scene. You are talking about AAA games coming to GOG. And nothing about that has changed, for better or for worse. Certainly not for worse.

huge AAA games not on gog YEARS after released and often surpassed by sequels.

farcry 3
mafia 2
watch_dogs
skyrim
etc..

is gog even trying? when they talk to companies, surely by now they know about gog and that they are legit and doing well. though i have a bad feeling that sometimes we miss out due to gog and their policy. wasn't there some revealed info before that gog had strict restrictions and some companies don't agree to that ergo no deals are made. gog's old principals of releasing games to public to "save" them is well and truly gone. now it's profit just like valve.

gog also is a sjw flower. why? they outright refuse to release hatred. i have email from hatred devs saying so. they tried but gog denied them. this is a known fact. valve now has a better and more open game policy than gog. how times change.

i have all the above four games on steam and that's fine. but i want them on gog too, so i know i will always be able to play them. i honestly wonder how hard gog really tries to make deals with major companies. no, i mean really.

also, no saints row 4? that game is old, constantly sells for $3.50, gog sells #2 & 3 but still no 4? doesn't make sense..

not to speak of gta4.. from 2008 and still no gog version. i bet rockstar hates gog. but i wonder how hard gog tried to get gta4 a NINE year old game..

If you don't like it here you will have to use steam. Or get a PlayStation.

You should have opened with that, I would not have wasted any time on You.

No, their old principals are still around. Look, I attached a picture!

I own Hatred and I have played Hatred.

GOG hasn't refused to release it because they are soft, they refuse to release it because it sucks! :D

Seriously, take all the complex characters, intriguing story, and high end graphics out of Postal and you get Hatred. :P

I've had more fun watching my dachshund take a crap.

why would the developer tell you the truth one way or the other? are you special?

and as having owned hatred drm-free on desura (rip) myself, it was definitely pretty 'meh.'

All I want to see from Ubisoft here is the rainbow six 3 gold edition and Farcry blood dragon, that's pretty much it really.
Of course GOG wants these big-name games. It means more $$$ for them.
