pedrovay2003: EDIT: Okay, there's a -6,232 stat in there. What. Also, I moved The Fall down to the "The" section, and that was moved back. It looks like everything was reverted to an earlier point.
Right when (what appears to be) the penguin added something. Looks like user error to me!
Not sure if this was suggested before, but was it mentioned before that Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition has the Duke Nukem 3D Atomic Edition which is a DOSBox game and can be launched without that steaming pile of a client existing at all?
Has anyone tried any of the AAA Linux games on Steam? I'm mainly referring to Shadow of Mordor and Alien: Isolation.

I seem to recall Shadow of Mordor requiring Steam. I'll have to try it again tonight to be sure.

I've tried both of those in Linux, and they both require Steam.
Okay, the wiki is back to the way it was. I'm going to go rest my hands and eyes now...

Thanks for checking, was worth a shot :)

No problem at all. After seeing how well Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel worked in Linux without Steam, I try everything I can think of now. :P

Heh, no problem. I made like five backups of it now, too, so it's not going anywhere again.

this one works without steam:

Lilly and Sasha: Curse of the Immortals
RC Mini Racers
You can run Return to Castle Wolfenstein without Steam client
Eurofighter Typhoon - Works Best without steam (and doesn't with steam :P )
I just bought episode 2 of "The Detail" and sadly it is only possible to activate this episode with the steam client active. You need to switch between the episodes and you can only do this when the steam client is active (otherwise the game would not recognize that you bought the additional episodes linking you to the steam store page where you can buy it). So "The Detail" has to be deleted from the list or at least added a note that only episode 1 works without the steam client. If somebody finds out a workaround for this handling I am all ears.
Detective Grimoire can be played without steam client active.
Perils of man is playable without steam running. You need to rename steam_api.dll in game directory. If you don't do this and have steam installed the login screen will appear but you can skip it as well.
