Mi farma es su farma.

Ok yes, this is not any known language, BUT the important thing here is that Stardew Valley, the ridiculously addictive simulation/RPG, can now also be enjoyed in co-op!

However, before you jump in and start sharing parsnips, chores, and giggles with your friends, you may want to read through this detailed post about what precautions to take before entering the Beta on GOG Galaxy.

EDIT: To enter the Beta, go to the game in your GOG Galaxy library --> More --> Settings. Then toggle BETA CHANNELS to ON. Now, Channel --> Add private channel, and insert the code jumpingjunimos when prompted. Finally, pick the "beta" channel from the drop-down menu and wait for it to install.

All set? Then what are you waiting for? The carrots won't pull themselves out, you know.
Everyone crying about DRM needs to calm down.
This is not DRM.

This is an open BETA on an indie game. He's not requiring you to install certain software to play the game itself, just try the BETA.

You may want to skim the thread. The issue is if you're using GoG's version, you need to be using Galaxy to gain access to the beta.

It's moot for me. I have no interest in multiplayer and not being able to date the whole town is a put off for me.

Oh Maru! Oh Emily. How will I ever decide.....

I'm joking of course. We all know Leah is the hottie.

Look up. I gave a link to a video of it.

timmy010: i get that the beta is for testing and bug reports but can we get offline installers (galaxy-less) every so often. this obviously won't be for testing or bug reporting since it will almost always be out of date. but we can still try the co-op features. naturally with bugs included for those of us who are impatient since we have been waiting for atleast half a year. :)
Considering it is beta testing, it would be a stupid idea from the devs to allow people to play out of date builds. Even if you'd just want to try it, other people could still report bugs from builds several versions behind the current build, so a unified platform for distribution really is a must. That way they can be at least relatively sure that they are getting reports from up to date builds.

Not a problem. I didn't know if you had missed it or was just referencing it. Wanted to make sure you had seen it.

edit: Just noticed that they removed the carrot mention from the original post.

I have no option of channels anywhere in my settings.
Anyone else have this problem?

EDIT: I found it. It was so light on my screen with the background picture I could not see it.
For anyone else as blind as me, it's all the way to the right of "CONFIGURE GAME"

Does anyone know if the Beta progress will be wiped upon release?

My wife and I want to play, however I don't want to make any progress if i'm just going to lose it.

Since it's beta I'd recommend leaving it alone for now. Maybe everything will work fine and the save will transfer to the final version or maybe you'll encounter a bug that spawns giant pink bunnies and your file becomes corrupted.
Has anyone tried the multiplayer with steam users? Me and a couple buddies want to try it out but they have SV on steam and I would rather buy it from GOG.

Haven't tried it but it's supposed to work:

https://stardewvalley.net/stardew-valley-v1-3-beta/

A third of the way down under section 4 - Invite codes.
