andysheets1975: the notorious Kavik Kang ;)
Speaking of him, he's gone off on one again in the Stardock forums. I PM'd him to remind him he wasn't supposed to be derailing the topic by claiming to have invented space and right on cue got another two (!) PMs filled with abuse right back at me. So inflated is his sense of self importance that he thinks the reason Fred and Paul haven't sued him for "liable [sic]" is because everything he says is true, rather than because no one listens to him (and thus no damage is done).

Well then stop talking about him so none of us have any reason to do anything but ignore him as well =)

Hey, I need to vent somewhere! :P
The Stardock thread got ultra-quiet once P&F posted up the legal settlement offers from themselves & Stardock.

Drop the Traveller RPG bombshell on K_K since you can't avoid poking the crazy, and because Traveller RPG is that awesome.
My favorite traveller RPG story is a early AI program(Eurisko) winning the traveller Trillion credit squadron tournament challenge two years in a row, it's 2nd win was extremely brutal.

I feel out of the loop, since I seem to be the first to ask, but who is Kavik Kang? Is this a meme?
The amount of flak surrounding this whole issue would make a B-17 pilot nervous.
holy shit.

thats my comment on it. take it or leave it.

Kavik_Kang is a poster on the Stardock forums who worked on Star Fleet Battles, and thinks everyone who made computer games involving space & battles in outer space stole his lifeswork.
Kavik_Kang started going fullbore crazy right around this point:

Kavik_Kang explaining the history of SFB and the lore is interesting.
Looks like they've left the Steam store front while still being sold here. Good times.

How does something like that happen? I've also never figured out how GOG has Alpha Centauri and Steam doesn't. I'm not complaining, I'm a die hard GOG fanboy, just curious.

I guess it's just a matter of time before it works itself off GOG. I imagine Steam was quicker to respond this time around. Regarding the latter, Steam is slowly adding the classics. I guess "they" now see there's a benefit. Sadly Steam has classics that GOG doesn't even have. Amaze-balls!

Should be anytime. I'd guess tomorrow as Stardock announced they are removing them from all storefronts as of today.

This one is easy, it's because EA is the publisher and they haven't added any more of their games to Steam since, like 2011 or so. Most or all EA games here are on Origin though.

SirPrimalform: Thanks for posting those, an interesting watch.
Leonard French has a LOT of good videos and interesting cases. Worth a watch if you can handle his often dry reading of the documents.
