Sounds like a smart policy.
Should be a delay of roughly 2-4 years after initial release (and depending on the success of each title) then, if they stick with the current plan.
To keep the momentum Sony should look into re-releasing Psygnosis' back catalogue of PC and ported-to-PC titles. Just hand it all over to GoG and let them take care of the technical side of things with ensuring compatibility/getting them to run on modern OS's and such.

It is good to have dreams but go easy on that hemp.
I'm really surprised the're declaring something like this so early into the new console gen life cycle. I mean, exclusives that won't actually remain exclusive - it kind of obvously sounds like something that makes owning a PS5 less "necessary".

Given how hard it is to get a PS5 and its expected to last being hard to get a ps5 till mid to late 2022 at the earliest and in other estimates till 2023 This is actually a smart move to do as games have for a lack of a better term''shelf life'' when it comes to companies able to make a profit deadline for the higher ups and shareholders.. So it makes sense out of necessity and the current seeming shake up of Sony/PlayStation management this is happening now ..I only hope they keep this up after there is no need and they should as there is a huge market of pc gamers out there that'll buy the games even if they are a timed exclusive So these newer games would be sure easy money to get from the pc market. I also do want them to port old exclusives from older generations though that as far as I know are still stuck on consoles// For example I'd llove the Ape Escape games on pc as its like the only ip yet from the older PlayStation console gens outside of Spider I want thats not on pc in a official port of rerelease/whatever one wants to call it..

Oh no, how will I do without my dose of Sony Third-Person Cinematic Adventures
I'm super ignorant of their offerings. No one I knows uses any of their current stuff. Do they have local MP/split screen games that have not come to the compute r yet?

I don't think they do .. At least from what I am aware as been trying to find such.. yet never seen any sense the ps3 era I think
I don't think anyone expected them at launch, I'm just glad they'll keep coming.

My main concern is they're going to do sequels without the originals, like the rumored Uncharted 4. Microsoft did the same with Gears of War. As a singleplayer guy it's a pretty huge turnoff to miss 3 games of story and be expected to not care.
Agreed with the above sentiments. I have to do things sequentially otherwise it's just too uncomfortable.

With regards to them waiting, I imagine most of us have enough of a backlog that jumping at semi-new things is not a top priority, I'm fine waiting for bundles.
It's a long shot, but I hope Sony considers releasing older generation Playstation titles on PC. PS1 and PS2-era games are the ones I'm mostly interested in.

Sony doesn't even care about old games on their own systems, let alone on PC. I'd guess PS3 era is the absolute best we can hope for, if not PS4 only.

I imagine there must be a need for games themselves to be successful and that can be difficult when PS5s are in universal shortage. Or maybe Sony realized, like Nintendo, that they have a big subset of mindless fans who will shell out cash for anything they produce and so need not worry about them not buying something because its coming to PC.
