Well at least no more garrisons.

And the new continant is The Broken Isles which has not been seen since Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne, Official Map:

OK if they bring back Illidan than bring back Arthas the Lich King in a new coat of paint in the next Xpac and this time players can get a Frostmourne transmog :P
This expansion only caters to a select few. Well, I am not among those. I just cancelled my subscription. As soon as Blizzard started selling gear for real life money, a.k.a Wow tokens, I began to lose interest. Honestly I'm tired of feeding the pigs over in Irvine for the same old shitty content.

snowkatt: this thing is blizzards XP
they stil make money of it and its too big to cut it free but one of these days it wil be a lodestone around their necks
unwilling to let go unable to make wow 2
Lol! That's a pretty good analogy.

Actually I doubt that. Say what you will about Blizzard (I'm not a huge fan myself) their business sense is very good. Once WoW is no longer the big money printer they will kill it without remorse. Though I doubt if there could ever be a point in making WoW 2. WoW will go on with further expansions untill the formula dries up to the bone. Then Blizzard will copy whatever the new upcoming popular thing is and make it their own.

We are Blizzard. Your ideas will be assimilated. Your gameplay distinctiveness will be added to our own. We will adapt your business model to service us. Resistance is futile.

So Warcraft is Picard?

If we were to stretch the analogy that far, I'd say Torchlight would be Picard. After all that it escaped the "collective" and used it's knowldge of it to win (by being better than Diablo 3).

Yes, it literally destroyed Diablo 3. It destroyed it so much that Diablo 3 was only able to sell 30 million copies.

So sad, it is only 10th on the list of best selling games in the history of the gaming industry.

Eh I am not one of those guys that hates on D3. I played it with the Reapers of Souls xpac, did a Crusader playthrough and thought it was fun and decent heck ven the story was not as bad as I thought it would be.

Besides I replayed D2 as a Paladin and have forgotten how hard it was. Especially not using a Hammerdin build. (Story is still great)

And Diablo 1 is a rather simple game. Nothing too surprising except for the ending.

I never said it outsold Diablo 3. I said it was a better game.

I am not too fond of the cartoony art style of Torchlight. And heck when you think about it isn't it hypocritical that people complained about the art style of D3 being too: Colorful, Warcrafty, and not dark and scary looking?

And yet those are probably the same people that jumped on the Torchlight wagon? Which is even more cartoony?

Besides I thought Path of Exile was that Diablo game they wanted...and yet its always online?!

The thing is Diablo 3 is supposed to be Diablo. To feel like Diablo. Torchlight on the other hand is supposed to be it's own thing, free to have it's own style of choice. At least that's how I approached the matter.

Sure it is. Also, how does that amazing post-sale support feel? Where the game is completely dead and hasn't received a new feature since forever?

Well since Elenarie did not reply to my post can you reply to this:

What is there to reply for?

Today you know, you either go Diablo 3 or Path of Exile. Torchlight banked on stupid PR back in the days, the game hasn't received a patch since 2013, while the other two are getting strong post-sale support.

Not sure about PoE, but you know that you are in for a long run with D3, patch 2.3 is comign in a few weeks / next month, and the next expansion will be announced at BlizzCon.

Pretty good. I don't care about games getting "new features". I play them and move on. And if it isn't broken it does not need to be patched.

It is not about being broken, but about having something new to do in the game.
