all the mods i can find are for 2 and 3 but almost nothing for 1
just texture mods

More handsome then how ever people makes theirs in the character creation I tried to make my own Shepard face and it looked unatural and unrealistic compared to the other faces like Ashley, Kaiden, Miranda, and yes even Default Male Shepard.

Fem Shep can be awesome. And Jennifer Hale's voice helps a lot with that.

Fair enough. I've only played part of Mass Effect and all of 2.
When I play though again it'll be in order and with the female version of Shepard though. :P
Her voice is quite a bit more bearable.

Edit: I've only played part of 1 because of a bug that wouldn't let me exit the Mako.

Honestly I have no idea why people dislike Male Shepard's voice?

I played the whole game with him and he is not that bad and yes I did her female shep and meh nothing special even though she does sound too.......lusty? I don't know the word to describe Jennifer Hale's voice but that it sounds to much like she is sighing or something?

I didn't necessarily dislike his voice. Just indifferent to it. A different voice is a different experience in a way. :)

I can never bring myself to play as anything but Soldier, the assault rifle is just damn good. And besides party members especially in Mass Effect 2 and 3 sort of felt useless.

Why? They're very versatile, and after the change to tech bursts they can even work as a caster class. Ammo power + concussion shot is insanely fun.

The Vanguard is good if you want to get up close and use shotguns,
but I would recommend that you try a plathrough of all the Classes (especially in ME2).
