He released a bug report of 23 left 2 weeks ago. Hopefully he doesn't go the way of Phil Phish, given some of the badgering that he's apparently gotten on RPGcodex.

He's gotten badgered there for - what? - 6 years?

misteryo:
The last update from him about the refunds sounded really snappy and passive aggressive. What worried me about reading that was maybe we're approaching the last straw. I doubt it, and certainly hope not, given how stubborn he is, but I tend to see the worst case scenario in a lot of things.

Regardless, I'm still stoked about whatever eventually comes out (however many more months we have).

Eh... The guy is liable to do anything. He has gotten snappy before and kept working and appearing. He's also gotten snappy and disappeared for large chunks of time.

We'll see when it happens.

So are they going to change the name of the game? The game itself looks pretty interesting.

Probably be a Steam only game, and I guess it is understandable that they did not know about Grimoire Grimoire. I dunno what to think on the issue, my main concern is that Grimoire Grimoire comes out eventually haha. (incredibly selfish, but I have no idea how copyright or any of that works so I focus on what I can know)

Oh, holy hell...know what this reminds me of? Around 10 years ago when The Offspring began suggesting their next album might be titled Chinese Democracy. This was before Dr. Pepper triple-dog-dared Axl to finally release the long-awaited GnR album of the same title. Offspring had a reasonable point, in that if there was no GnR album released under the title Chinese Democracy, then why couldn't they use it themselves? I kinda see the same point being made by this new guy on KS.
So, the new guys own the trademark, right?

I would sit on it and dare Blakemore to come up with more Lawyer cash than me.

Well, except that Cleve has actually released a few playable demos, and has a pretty good record of communication and bug-tracking etc. Whereas Axl had bupkis for years.
I wonder if people will back this just because they want to mess with Cleve...
18 years and I hadn't heard of Cleve's Grimoire... and now I wanna play it.
Why do I get the feeling that once his bug countdown goes dangerously close to zero, he'll surprisingly discover a few dozen more that'll push the release date back for "just a few more months".
So I take it Cleve's Grimoire still hasn't been released? Color me surprised...

But his comment on that other Grimoire is pretty entertaining though.
