Never heard of it either. My biggest hope is for vimeo but it's got a looooooooooooooong way to go.
I'm a big fan and patreon of people who used Blip, so yeah, I definetely noticed. Even though many of them have moved and adapted to another service, some stuff is lost, like Diamanda Hagan's Guide to Classic Doctor Who. And then there's the YT having less competition thing...
f I knew of an alternative to youtube, I probably would have used it.
What's Blip?

Blip's dead, baby

tomimt: I didn't even know a service called Blip existed.
I think Rich at RTU commented on it, that Blip.tv was where he got started on everything, and it's sad to see it die... But other than that, i don't think i've ever heard of it either...
Well, if you didn't really watch internet review shows. Blip probably went under your radar. >_>
I'm a little lost as to why video requires a special service as opposed to just video files hosted like other files. Seems like a browser deficiency to me.

How could not know any content creators that uses Blip?

So long as videos like Justin Bieber and the Gangman Style guy gets 1 billion views, nothing will ever replace youtube.

Youtube will be a monopoly. Sad But True.

If you've never heard of the service, why would you have heard of the content creators using that service?

Elmofongo: I get movies but how is Spoony's gaming related reviews in any danger?
avatar
Breja: I think game stuff tends to get flagged even more often than movies. Spoony and Angry Joe definately had a lot of problems both. And Spoony uses plenty of various clips and music from various stuff in his reviews, so even if it's a gmae review it still might have movie clips. And besides, if something like a vlog of people just talking about a movie can get flagged by a bot, then anything can.
I prefer Spoony's vlog reviews where he just talk instead of using soundtracks and quick sequences of other moives to make quotes and references.

After Earth review is still hilarious:
