I think you misunderstand how that rule works - it's the active participation in the form of dropping and/ or taking codes in that thread that's problematic.

That may be the problem they seek to fight, but the No Tolerance of TB...B admin's in both that GA and in other GA's they do seems to defeat a lot of the stated purpose. When there is no real chance for forgiveness and the ease of making an infraction is huge, then they lock out potential recruits who may not have known about alternatives (ex. Bler).

Example:
*Participating in TBBBBoB in lieu of grabbing that single game from a code dump.

If you didn't already know about TB...B, then it may well be too late by the time you find out, and any intentions you might have about becoming a better community member (now that you've heard about a problem) are worthless.

Nope it is not a misunderstanding. I thought that too, but in the new givaway at the moment and the one before the rule was changed to "never having posted" in the ninja thread. There was even a discussion about this... and while I respect the rule to not discuss it anymore in the new giveaway thread, I find the double standard antic.
