TStael: Still why?

U could be Jezza fan, for purpose.
To ask for assistance to fix the emoticon. And to have fun.

I have no idea what you're going on about once again.

HunchBluntley: That is easily my favorite "monster" movie. I don't even give a crap about most horror movies, but The Thing was a damn good, effective thriller, and it still holds up quite well today.

AAAAGH!

Emob78: It's hard to mess things up when you have a bearded Kurt Russell, creepy aliens and flamethrowers. The only thing possibly better than that would be to shave the beard and give him a truck to drive around.
Why don't we just... wait here for a little while... see what happens?

And they're planning a remake of that epic film. No doubt it will be CRAPPY just like every other remake of a true classic (see Total Recall).

TStael: Please. why not just ... tell? Is there no meaning?

zeogold: First, she was having an issue making that emoticon when posting from a mobile tablet device since the forum recognizes "\" as part of some sort of code, such as when used in (/quote) to end a quote (I used parentheses instead of brackets so the forum doesn't screw it up). Therefore, she had to use "|" instead of "\", making it
¯|_(ツ)_/¯
instead of
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
but Barefoot_Monkey found a fix whereby you enter an extra "\", making it
¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
which gives the proper
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
as a result.
Then we talked about backslashes, then I talked about free shrugs, then waiters and Things and avatars and Egyptcheeans and nag a rams and ghosts, and yeah, now there is no meaning, except:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I seriously wonder why people derep persons like you, who even take the patience to recap in all detail a topic, that was a bit 'shrug, what's this about' in the first place and do it in this kind of detail that must take a lot of effort? I don't understand fora these days.

DubConqueror: I seriously wonder why people derep persons like you
Because it's not "people". It's one guy (NES) with several alt accounts, mad at me for interfering with a few of his scams, and desperate enough that he does it every day and thinks he's actually accomplishes something. At least it makes him feel a little less worthless, I guess.
Even in the singular, I don't understand him.

Didn't they already do a remake/prequel 5 years ago? Are they planning yet another one?

Wasn't referring to The Thing. Was referring to Big Trouble in Little China ("shave the beard, give him a truck").

chevkoch: Ah. I searched "kurt russell truck movie" and thought you meant Breakdown.
That's one of the few Kurt Russell movies that suck big time.

I might have seen it ages ago, can't remember. Plot sounds interesting though.

It's as generic as it can get, trust me.

That's a shame, at least I can always go back and watch The Thing again ...

I thought "Used Cars" was one of his best, "Overboard" wasn't a bad watch in the right mood.
