Edit: Motion lines added, because GOG does not like gratuitous spaces between things.

I actually have that toy. And yes, I did put it away because of its nightmarish quality. I don't even like looking at it.

That is easily my favorite "monster" movie. I don't even give a crap about most horror movies, but The Thing was a damn good, effective thriller, and it still holds up quite well today.

Fairfox: Does \ as a character not work in GOGie forum taglet-waglets? Why?

I hases to ¯|_(ツ)_/¯ up a storm because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ turns to ¯_(ツ)_/¯. This is very unfortunate on a scale unknown to all. What else does the lack of \ contribute (with a heavy emphasis on "CON") towards? As said, it's almost incalculable in its sheer horror.
I do not understand what you want to say. Could you state it on plain terms?

It's hard to mess things up when you have a bearded Kurt Russell, creepy aliens and flamethrowers. The only thing possibly better than that would be to shave the beard and give him a truck to drive around.

First, she was having an issue making that emoticon when posting from a mobile tablet device since the forum recognizes "\" as part of some sort of code, such as when used in (/quote) to end a quote (I used parentheses instead of brackets so the forum doesn't screw it up). Therefore, she had to use "|" instead of "\", making it
¯|_(ツ)_/¯
instead of
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
but Barefoot_Monkey found a fix whereby you enter an extra "\", making it
¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
which gives the proper
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
as a result.
Then we talked about backslashes, then I talked about free shrugs, then waiters and Things and avatars and Egyptcheeans and nag a rams and ghosts, and yeah, now there is no meaning, except:
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
