Azgrel: Something interesting happened to me. When the sale began I tried to buy VtM: Bloodlines, but I got payment error message. However, the transaction went through, I received the game and money disappeared from my bank account, so I thought everything's fine.

Few minutes ago I received an email from GOG about issue they couldn't fix and how the only thing they could do is to convert corrupted purchase into GOG Funds so I can repurchase the game. Now's the interesting part: I still have the game and I got my money back, so basically I got the game for free.
So basically you stole from GOG and admitted it. Good job!

I'm still waiting for my free code for Alan Wake AN to show up in my email (cause of buying Dragon Dogma while

it was on sale, I did get the free code for Rebel Galaxy this was before you could get Alan Wake AN too), I'm just

planning to give my code for Alan Wake AN away since someone already give me there free code.

There were two games I remember seeing some newspost about on GOG but quite a while ago now. As I cannot remember the names I would humbly ask for help with them:

One game was something about a mouse or something else very small going on a quest outside home. No clue what the name was.

The other game was something about travelling with a raft down a river.

The memories of these have been haunting me even if I discarded them back then as not for me.
So, what if I already have Alan Wake: American Nightmare? Can I just gift it to anyone here?

Yes :-) Maybe to someone who does not have a GOG account yet ;-)

XYCat: If I spent 10 last week, do I need to spend another 10 this week for the Alan Wait? :D

Themken: copied from GOG's OP:
"Oh and if you already spent $10 during the Summer Sale, no worries – the offer is retroactive and you'll soon get your copy of Alan Wake's American Nightmare. "
How long before an email actually arrives though? I see some people already got the email with the code. I have spent 15+ € on stuff so far. But this was the purchase during the Rebel Galaxy code bug (which was later fixed by an extra email I got with the code). So I am not sure if I should have the new game or not...
Is the $10 cumulative over the sale or in one purchase. I made a 9.50 purchase before the AW announcement.

Takes a while. I got mine yesterday around 1 PM. No need to worry too much, as I think this is a similar situation to the first round. They'll work it out. But if you're truly concerned about not getting it, let me know and you can have my code, as I already own the game anyway.

Oh, and check your spam folder. A couple people have reported that it ended up in there, even though the first code wasn't considered spam.

Over the sale. Doesn't need to be a single purchase.

Guess I am pretty lucky then. Got both those codes within minutes after the purchase. :)
For me it's been 6 days already. When should I start bothering gog support team about not having AW? I mean, I don't want to be a pushover over free stuff but I would like to try the game, it looks sweet so I was looking forward to it.

I already got Rebel Galaxy code on June 7 but isn't AW taking too long?

Pretty sure it was only a couple days ago that they announced the Alan Wake freebie, not 6 days, so I'd give it a little more time.

Spot on, twice! Thank you!

I also wonder where my Nightmare is. Checked the spam folder in my email inbox but that one is completely empty as it has always been for over ten years.

The_Blog: If it's anything like steam the publishers make the discounts, not gog.
avatar
Leroux: I think the new approach of keeping the same discounts for the entire duration of the sale - which is much more convenient for customers - on the other hand doesn't sit that well with publishers and makes them much less generous with the discounts than they would have been with daily deals. Case in point: Disney recently offered games like Tron 2.0 for 77% off on Gamersgate - for one day - while at the same time they only offer a measly 15% off here - for a fortnight.
Yeah. I really miss the flash/daily deals on steam and the insomnia sales on gog :(
