I just +1 randomly and especially when I see someone downrepped unjustly. Try to counter the trolls ;)

I know it will soon harsh, but people downrepping use that feature when they can't be bothered to formulate a notice of disagreement or engage in an argument. Hence, starting such a thread won't get you any answer. For more, the only thing this thread is doing is poke at the rep club's cardinal rules as said earlier.

Don't beat yourself over that, it will pass. It's not something you should pay attention to.

I don't think you got my message if you do it soley for the purpose of feeling better because this issue bothers you or because you want more reps.

Go back to the root issue: teach yourself to not bother about a damn number. Or perhaps the number isn't the issue at all? Maybe what really bothers you is that people have the right down vote someone because of an opinion. Same solution: learn not to care. People have their opinions, they mean little and they change. It's just the way it is.

Vestin posted a really great post once about why that isn't the point of down repping. I'll edit this post if I can find it.

There are some instances when bad behavior deserves a negative feedback, which is understandable.

And the community here is overall one of the most civil and well-mannered in the inter-webs.
especially considering it is an international and Gamers society.

The Internet is just a reflection of society (in general).

Sure there are trolls running amuck, and often times they can be the loudest voices,
but they are few in number and easily dealt with when exposed...

Did I said anything controversial? No. Have I posted my wishlist on the gifting thread? If you count asking for a game that doesn't exist,than yes but otherwise no but maybe because I defended Elmofongo because he got hit hard for daring to ask for a game on the gifting thread.
OMG,I defended someone who was unjustly being downreppep,the worst crime in the world! Burn me at the stake!
If the person or persons see this,downrep me.I don't fucking care anymore.
Some people just want to watch the other people derped
