Sent in my survey as well. Said that I would love to see more releases on GOG, and specifically mentioned how we have some Tomb Raiders and Hitmans, yet no Legend, Anniversary, Underworld, or Blood Money.

ReynardFox: their own shitty DRM service.
Don't they already have one? I thought on Steam for some FF games you have to log into your Squeenix account as well as Steam of course.

Anyway, I tweeted with the hashtag #SquareEnix as that apparently is trending: https://twitter.com/tytbone/status/574643945424187392

Also, a few people in this thread don't seem to realize we already have Square Enix here, though I guess a subsidiary (Squeenix USA?) that is cool with DRM-free.

Finished, according to questions, I guess this survey is serious and important for them.
Finished the survey, mentioned that I generally dislike DRM and Steam and suggested alternative online retailers including gog.

Lets see if they are willing to change their stance on DRM at some point in the future...
That's a very Final Fantasy and Steam-centric survey. Based on the questions towards the end, it sounds like sales of games on Steam haven't panned out in the way that Squeenix expected, something which is supported by the extremely deep discounts on SE games on Steam of late and the recent bundle. News on the Steam release of FF13-3 has fizzled out as well.

Anyway, I made my point in the comments that I love PC gaming, but that I will not be held hostage by forced use of Steam. Whether they pay any attention is another thing altogether - I very much doubt it, but this way I can't claim that I didn't vote when my opinion was asked.
Bumpity Bump !

Don't be shy, goggers, it's a rare occasion to push a drm-free agenda through a japanese corp. It helps to know that the survey change on its second page following your prefered squeenix series.
So if you already completed the survey with for instance chrono trigger, you can send another with Final Fantasy. Just don't forget to mention that you want new squeenix games on GOG in the last blank !
Done! I don't think we'll see Final Fantasy VII HD Remaster, but I asked for it all the same.
It doesn't hurt to try.

Final Fantasy VII and VIII and from what I know, they also have limited activations. They are the only games that do so, though, and I'm somewhat perplexed as to why a) they haven't added this to other of their games, b) haven't bothered removing the requirement from those two (as it stands out like a sore thumb).

Edit: wrong thread

Edit 2: I completed the survey before this thread appeared, and also asked for DRM-free releases here. Also, Chrono Trigger 2, lol.

Filled out... interesting the large number of lists of 'games you're currently playing' that aren't on the list. Actually half the survey ended up 'none of the above' for me.

Oh well... maybe they will listen, or maybe they will bring FF7 the PS4/PC port to PC!
