At this point Sega is a zombie that refuses to die, just exploiting its great IPs of the past, just like Atari and Interplay.

It pains me a lot to wish that to one of my favorite gaming companies of all times and the one that marked my childhood the most, but i really hope Sega goes bankrupt. Enough is enough, there's no need to humiliate Sonic's legacy more than they already did.

Looking at that mobile travesty, it looks like Sonic Boom wasn't that bad, after all.

Briareos262: damn, I wish I would have held onto my 32x. I'll hunt down one someday. Yeah I have like 2 or 3 PSPs. Awesome handheld with some nice niche JRPGS. Same with the VITA which I still need to get as I have a good couple JRPGs for it already ^_^

Not to derail the thread and to stay on topic. Best advice to experience great Sega games of yesteryear, check out the backlog of genesis/megadrive or saturn and dreamcast systems. They had alot of good games ^_^

snowkatt: imight buy a ps tv vita and psp games on my tv ?
ill have that !

oh and there are 665,000 32X's around
compared to the psp thats still not much so i dont regret trading the psp for a moment

i like the 32X despite it probably being the death knell for sega not for what it is but for what it could have been

ie panzer dragoon daytona usa wolfenstein 3D sf alpha darkstalkers on my megadrive
on my 32X

these were all slated for the 32X and were moved to the saturn when the 32X was chopped
its potential is what interests me

and it has a few cool games ( star wars arcade virtua racing star trek starfleet academy ...yes i like that game )

and whats there to derail here ?
we are talking sega
its a sega topic
yeah I have one of the PSP with the cable to connect to the TV. Gonna try it someday. Yeah alot predicted the 32x demise because add-ons are not that popular and even the sega cd had some trouble at least stateside. Yeah it had great fighter games for sure. I was luckily able to snag up all the Panzer Games except the most expensive one. On the consolation side I have just about all the other JRPGs/strategy games that made it stateside for the Sega library which they had alot of good RPGs across the systems.

I hate to think how much star wars arcade for 32x goes for =( I think ill do a quick search....

cardridge only games tend to be cheap
when you want cib games then the price will start to rise

and the most expensive one is saga

I'm sorry to say with what they have done to sonic. I'm kind of glad they ignored all their other IPs =P

No need for them to ruin more gaming legacies =/

Briareos262: Sorry to see what they become. Luckily I have a nice collection of their old games too boot up for some nostalgic gaming. I just don't know if my old systems work anymore =/

I have 2 Saturns... I played a lot of MegaDrives/Genesis but I don't actually own the console, played mostly at other people's houses.

Definitely. It could have been a mobile Panzer Dragoon. Or even worse, a mobile Shenmue.

I see many people asking Sega for Shenmue 3, and to be honest, i hope they do not mess with the Shenmue franchise again. Sega doesn't have good developers or money to develop a worthy sequel.

Yes, i'm aware of the Game Gear version. When i mentioned "mobile" i meant crappy smartphone/tablet F2P games, not games designed for dedicated gaming portables, which are fine.

i know
i was just clarifying for people who are unaware of panzer dragoon mini
While we're on the topic of Panzer Dragoon...

Would there be interest in a physical giveaway of some old Sega PC games? I recently saw a place selling old, old PC versions of Panzer Dragoon, Virtua Fighter 1/2, and a collection of all of the Sonic 2D platformers. I figure I'd gauge the demand first before I go to the trouble going back there (it's pretty far from me).
Wow, didn't see this coming.

such an awesome series. I too would just give about anything for a proper closure to Shenmue and Kotor 3. =(

Unfortunately Kotr there has been no interest in making regular pc single player game. It's all mmo now =P As for Shenmue I only wish someone would buy the IP from Sega however chances of that seem to be nil. I don't see any good of Sega holding onto Shenmue if they decide to stop ignoring it they would only ruin it to either co op, mmo, or some damn casual phone/tablet game with transactions! =P
