Time for another fascinating trip to the past. Today a group of 7 classic titles returns to modern computers thanks to the efforts of Ziggurat Interactive and GOG.COM. These games represent different genres but have one thing in common – they’re highly enjoyable!

Battle Engine Aquila is a dynamic shooter game from 2003 where you must battle for the most valuable asset in the flooded world – the dry land. Become a pilot of Battle Engine Aquila, a machine with versatile mobility and awesome firepower.

Last Rites is an action-packed FPS from 1997 in which your finger will never leave the trigger. As the dead climb out of their graves, your only chance for survival is to grab a gun and send them back where they came from.

Les Manley in: Search For The King is a spicy point-and-click game from 1990 about pursuing happiness. You follow the story of a tech specialist named Les Manley as he tries to win an Elvis impersonation contest and gain the affection of the girl of his dreams.

Les Manley in: Lost in L.A. is the second game from the adventure series by Accolade. This time our hero is pursuing a stalker who has been kidnapping celebrities. Les Manley must scour La La Land, sifting through actors, rock stars, and gorgeous babes, to unravel the mystery.

You can also grab both Les Manley games in one bundle at a lower price.

Machiavelli: The Prince is a management game from 1995 with action set in the 15th century. Your goal is to skillfully use available resources and diplomacy to win world domination. Use all means, including bribery, piracy, and assassination, to achieve this goal.

Return of the Phantom is an adventure game from 1993 with a story penned by James Bond novelist, Raymond Benson. It seems that the legendary Phantom of the Opera has returned! As Inspector Raoul Montand, you are the only one who can stop the mysterious foe.

Timequest game is an adventure from 1991 that takes you to four continents and across three thousand years of history where you face a mystery, intrigue, danger, and death as you untangle a masterful web of deceit to catch and bring the time-traveling criminal to justice.

Adrenaline boost, mystery and cunning intrigues – every gamer will find something for himself here. All classic titles mentioned above await your revisit or discovery. Get these and other classic games at 33% off during Ziggurat Publisher Sale that runs until 18th September, 1 PM UTC.
A buy all at once for more 70-75% percent off would've been nice. As such, to the wishlist you go.
I read some news articles that said Ziggurat would be revamping the BloodRayne games. Is that what is listed in this sale, or no?

And did GOG ever start selling the uncensored version of BloodRayne? Or are the ones offered in this sale still the censored versions?
Finally Legend's Time Quest! It was ages waiting for this. I fear that it will be the last possible rerelease of the old Legend titles due to the literary/books rights ownership of the rest ( Gateway etc...)
you should link the les manley bundle on the individual store pages.

timequest is also good news, hope gateway is next after all this time.

In the first game, I had to use a mod to get the swastikas back in.

But GOG is not responsible. It was how the game released on PCs. It was uncensored on consoles and that is from where the mod got its assets to use in the PC version. At least that is what I read in the mod description IIRC.

There's also a point and click remake of Gateway on AGS that is an option.

And thanks GOG for Return of the Phantom. It was released on Steam last month, but I waited to pick it up here. I'm glad that all these old titles are made available.
Machiavelli the prince is highly recomendable as well. Really interesting game for fans of colonization or patrician. It had an unique world map where you need to open the fog of war like in civilization or colonization but it showed an stylized/rennaissance image of how the known world was expected, but when you sail you uncover different coastlines than those in the covered map. An interesting detail I liked a lot. Today things that are not completely essential in a game use to be not implemented.

Phantom of the opera/Return of the Phantom is the third of those microprose adventures, rex nebular, dragonsphere, and uses the same engine. It is said to be shorter but as an adventure it is very interesting for today standards.

Never tried Les Manley but they are not hard games, they are said to be cruel. They are similar to Leisure Suit Larry. I guess they were the competitor of the series. They seem to be known as adventure games with a very high difficulty from the era of the hint books and some cruelties and absurd/bizarre puzzles. Probably is a good oportunity for hard adventure lovers.

"Last Rites" was one of the first Zombie-Apocalypse shooter games on PC.

How times have changed since then. :)

May look a bit shit, but is has quite an atmosphere and a nice soundtrack.

Waited some time for it, although owning a CD-ROM original in box.

Germans should buy it. Now. As fast as possible. Just saying...

Well, some people may actually had to relieve or "take the pressure off" themselves after seeing that some of their favourite games from back when were just released on GoG.
Wow Battle Engine was superb on the ps2. Great game there.

And Machiavelli being here now means we'll get its amazing sequel, Merchant Prince II?

Pretty please???? ;)

Wow, I had a feeling that this Friday would be a good one for old games. I wish Death Gate, that I didn't buy it in time, could make a comeback as more Legend titles arrive. Same for Shannara, sadly it seems that the IP owners are against those games. I might be interested in Timequest and Phantom of the Opera.
Wow, I can't believe Battle Engine Aquila made it to GOG! Has anyone tried it out yet?

Also, is Last Rites similar to Duke3D?

If only gameplay trailers on game pages were a thing. =P Looks more like a squad-based thing. Not sure how complex those AI teammates are though; given its age, probably not very.

Yeah. Plus the game engine looks like it's similar to either the SkyNet engine or Build engine.

Have you tried Battle Engine Aquila at all?
