Reckless, beautiful, and well-equipped with twin pistols--Lara Croft is here!

[url=http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/tomb_raider_123]Tomb Raider 1+2+3, the game that broke new ground in the third-person action genre, is available now on GOG.com for only $9.99.

If you’re one of those people who’ve never used a PC (welcome to GOG.com then!), never been to a movie theater, never owned a TV, and hate comic books, you might have never heard of Tomb Raider or Lara Croft. The Tomb Raider franchise spanned 14 games, 5 expansions, 2 movies, and countless comic books--not to mention incredible amounts of desktop wallpapers, posters and fan-art. Lara Croft is one of a kind--athletic, acrobatic, adventurous, attractive, and aristocratic, not to mention her short shorts and too-tight top. One of the (if not the) strongest and interesting female characters in gaming history is now available for download with EXTRAS for only $9.99, thanks to GOG.com, yours truly.

As a game, the first Tomb Raider was an enormous success, because it really offered “everything for everyone”: exceptional platforming action with jumping, running, and trigger-happy combat, intelligent puzzles and mazes, exploration and storyline for those who like adventures, and finally a wild ride of thrills, surprises, and challenges. Grab the original trilogy of Indiana Jones-style adventures with non-stop action, guns, puzzles, and double-D cup size.

Peru, Greece, Egypt, Atlantis, Venice, China, Tiber, London, Antarctica, and Lara’s home--you can visit all of those places in Tomb Raider 1+2+3 for only $9.99.

Strijkbout: I haven't read all the reviews but what is to be done if reviews contain wrong information?
Nothing is done. Even if it's spam GOG doesn't seem to really care.

gameon: Ah i see it makes sense now. I dont think my windows xp will object to tomb raider them, lol.

Get some rest, especially as its england vs belgium (football) tomorrow :p

mrtophat101: Really? Shit, we're going to be destroyed. =D

JudasIscariot: Are you running the game on a netbook?
avatar
mrtophat101: Laptop, but using Wineskin for Mac Os X, so that's probably the problem. Thank you for asking though. :)
How I solved this on my netbook:

Installed PowerISO and mounted a virtual CD-ROM drive and then ran the executable(after running the Setup tool included with the game) after that it went as planned.

Thank you. I'll be installing it on Windows XP later, I'll try that incase it does ask for a CD. :)

gameon: You have some good players. I think your team has underperformed. England should win, but it might only be 1-0 or 2-0.
I don't know anything about football. :D I know this : Belgium sucks and my GF's team Netherlands, is amazing. :(

Can you mount a virtual CD/DVD-ROM drive in Wineskin?

I think you can, but my Wineskin skills are bad. I'll just install it in Windows XP. :)

Well, if you have an actual CD/DVD-ROM drive in your laptop under Windows then you shouldn't have to go through the POwerISO route then. :D

Strijkbout: I don't know how to put this but I was reading through some of the (user)reviews but one stated the folowing:

squishysupreme's review
Yeah, nothing about that review makes any sense whatsoever; while the PC versions are superior there's no difference in game content or mouse control. I thought it might be talking about the newer games or something, but it makes no sense in that context either. It can hopefully be removed as it's completely false.
I hope GOG fixes the problem with the cutscenes and music not working in Tomb Raider 2 and 3 that many people are having.
I found a fix but it requires too many hoops to jump through to be considered a real solution.
A trip to www.tombraiderchronicles.com will show that this has been a known issue since XP came out,and that there has been a fix for it for nearly a decade. But the patch requires a Tomb Raider 2 and 3 CD in the CD drive. You can make your own by either burning a CD with the contents of the GOG version of TR 2 and 3 (which I did) or my going the ISO route(I have not tired this so cannot guarantee it will work) and getting the patch to work that way.Once it is patched the game work fine. But people should not have to jump through these hoops to get the freaking game to work right so GOG needs to fix this. And it should be an easy fix, since a patch has been around for almost a decade........

Excellent, thank you. :)
This game best release of month.
Great release
The cutscenes look really bad in this release. With incredibly poor resolution and horizontal dark lines. I'm using Windows 7, 64 bit. Is there a way to fix it?
In the screenshots the horizontal lines are not visible, but I see them when the cutscene is playing

Unfortunately, the FMV's on the PC version are much lower quality than the Playstation ones.
