Gamers, assemble!

<span class="bold">TIS-100</span>, in which you'll quench your coding fantasy (or enjoy some work away from work) is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux - DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

The guys that brought us SpaceChem and Infinifactory strip off all training wheels and take that final step into purest form of puzzle solving: coding. If you feel like you've missed your true calling, or if you like your coding job <s>a little too much</s> just the right amount, then <span class="bold">TIS-100</span> may just be the puzzle based assembly simulator you didn't even know you needed. You stumble upon the Tesselated Intellgence System, TIS-100, a massively parallel computer architecture comprised of non-uniformly interconnected heterogeneous nodes. The only problem is that it's broken. With a manual on hand and your noodle brewing, it's up to you to solve, debug, and fix the mysterious, corrupted machine. Once again, Zachtronics manages to make thinking, learning and applying simple systems to complex challenges the most satisfying thing you've ever done. Are you up to IT?

Unleash your inner code monkey in <span class="bold">TIS-100</span>, available now - DRM-free on GOG.com! The 10% discount will last for one week, until July 27, 9:59 AM GMT.
Good release.
This looks both very interesting and very masochistic at the same time. :| It kinda looks like Logo made to look more hardcore (to ressemble more to x86 assembly).

+1 for Twitch Let's play idea. It's better to let others figure out this thing first. :P
I think this has the chance of being the lowest selling computer game in modern history.

With those amazing screenshots that look like editing spreadsheets in DOS?
I doubt it.

Why? The idea itself is kinda fun. And it might ring the bell with Spacechem fans. It all depends on the execution. It's not expensive either.
I'm tentatively wishlisting this one... largely because Spacechem is awesome and I have faith this could be too, but I have no idea how you even play it... :/
So they made a game about doing TPS reports?

Hmmmm, I hope I remember to put on the new cover sheet.

Did you get that memo?

You see, because we're now putting the new cover sheet on all the TPS reports.

Well, I'll leave you to go and give this game and a spin, and also I'll go ahead and make sure you get another copy of that memo.

Greeeeeeeaaaat.
Hey GOG! It seems like you forgot to include the DLC to the game page.

I'm playing it right now and it looks so much better with the white background and multi-colored texts ;)

There are other programming languages that could be "fun", and Assembly doesn't seem like one of them. Then again, I'm more used to the higher level stuff that doesn't look like 1s and 0s.
Grumpy Old Gamers™
wow never thought i would see a game like this but certainly not one i would go for. See enough crap at work as is to come home and look at something like that.

catpower1980: BTW, could we have a twitch stream of this game, it would be weirdly fun to watch. Preferably a duo of streamers like MatCatPlays or Donis&Ada so they would have better chance to figure out how the game works :o)
There is already a similar game out there which you can watch live, right now, 24/7. It's called Stack Overflow. :)

I guess it's either a pure puzzle game or it's Logo-like language disguised as assembly (see the link im my previous post). If you pay attention, the supposed assembly commands don't contain registers as arguments but directions. It's mov left,2 instead of mov ax,2. The difference is that the first one is probably literally "move the character left" and the other is only putting the value of 2 in register ax which is just the part of the long setup of some action to follow.

That is: it's not assembly, but a simple Logo-like language disguised to look like ASM to look nerdier. :) But it migh not be a language at all. It might be a puzzle game that only looks that way.
A "Lol you're a n00b!" simulator. XD
