Pack of War

War comes to GOG.com, neatly bundled in a pack... of war. That's Faces of War, Men of War: Red Tide, Men of War: Assault Squad, and Men of War: Vietnam - all yours in the Bundle Tower Pack of War for 75% off, or individually at -60%.

The Men of War games are a series of simulation-driven real time strategy titles. The games' success is shared by the bond that they foster between you and the men at your command, as well as the revolutionary, detailed simulation of every aspect of the battlefield - including accurate line of sight, physics based tactical destruction & debris, or granular vehicle damage - all of which come together to form one of the most organic strategy experiences available anywhere.

Faces of War is an earlier title in the series, released prior to the massive success of Men of War, but shares many of the same unique design choices. Those same ruthless strategy experiences can be found in the remaining three titles: Men of War: Assault Squad, the Men of War expansion; and their two sequels - Men of War: Red Tide and Men of War: Vietnam , in which you will stand by a squad of Soviet Black Coats, and battle-hardened US special operatives, in their fight to survive.

There are two sides to every story in the Pack of War, available 75% off in the Bundle Tower, now DRM-free on GOG.com.
I didn't mean to irritate anyone so I deleted my post.

Keep them coming 1C Publishing! I am really enjoying your titles coming here :)
Loved Assault Squad, great game.
Awesome releases! Instabought!
Okay, having not played any of these games, I'm a little confused about the entire "Men of War" series released here on GOG. I was wondering if someone is generous enough to explain the order of the titles (in your view), and what kind of focus each gameplay has. Like whether it's more centered on RTS Strategy (using troops, weapons and strategy), using vehicles (tanks, planes), Single-player or multi-player focused? Etc..

Thank you lots for this!
I thought I was well past the point of getting excited about what's happening on GOG, but Faces of War? Awesome releases! =D
Damn, that's a really fine release. I really would recommend this to anyone liking even slighly WW2 RTS. I should even get this (and I think I definitely will) even though I am not really prone to re-buy games I already own elsewhere.

Which one, the Faces of War?

For starters I can direct you to my previous post.
Then, I don't think there is a particular order to the games, it's just different settings.

I enjoyed Red Tide as a full campaign with really great design and gameplay.
Men of War : Assaut Squad features very complete and extensive scenarios that are a wonderfull cooperative experience in multiplayer, with really well made difficulty levels and a great replayability.
Point is, while they play the same, Red Tide is more a single player game, but if you really enjoy it you can have more of the same yet better in Assaut squad.

Those are the WW2 rts I had the most fun with.
Now THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Red Tide and Assaut Squad (got one on steam and the other on stardock/impulse/gamestop ... no kidding)

Edit : I don't know anything about Faces of War really.

I still have Men of War on my list of things to investigate further, since the GOG in Russia launch.

I'm not particularly into RTS (nothing against it either) but the direct control aspect piqued my interest. However some of the reviews and comments mention it being a bit heavy on the micro management and that it can be quite difficult to juggle everything under pressure.

Do these games rely heavily on 'arcade' skills and require a hundred mouse clicks a minute? or is it possible to take a breather and just let the AI do its' thing after you've made the tactical decisions and issued orders?
Fabulous releases! I'll wait and see what surprises the tower holds for us and if I have any money left by the end I'll get Faces of War and Men of War: Red Tide.

In my experience, spending "a lot" of time positionning your PAK (checking the line of sight, the angles, the cover ...) and progressing slowly are one sure way to get things done.
