*Edited this post because it turns out I don't really care about the galaxy check box conversation.

serpantino: Is the sale bugged? Fallout 1,2 & tactics say not owned but I do own them, just not the (identical but overpriced) re-releases. I'm not buying 3 games I already own on gog to get the max discount just because they changed to a greedier publisher.
I can see both sides of this... they should notify you that you own a previous version. ... but now that money does go to a new publisher so I can see why they don't want to discount the games if you're not buying the "full package" from that publisher.

That would be kinda like expecting a discount on a Toyota since you're buying 5 Fords simply because they're all cars.

Soon as I got home my son told me it was up. Within 2 minutes it was bought and started to download.

lonewolfgk: Why do you think we are here at GOG, to have to use a client like Galaxy again, to later change to DRM and be forced unto us.
No i wanted offline, DRM Free games without having to use a client to get my games and control me.
GOG will never stop being DRM-Free, that would ruin the whole reason people buy from here. They would go bankrupt if they tried forcing DRM
Oblivion, Fallout 3, and New Vegas, all DRM free. On the same day no less. Alright, I just gotta say it guys, I'm impressed. I dunno how in the heck you managed it.
Yay I can breath again! Now to hold my breath until Skyrim gets released.
Wow, an AAA game on GOG, only 10 years after release. Not bad (compared to the usual stuff)!

Wishlisted. Will buy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you GOG! This is so awesome! :-)

So wishes do come true. Thanks Gog and Bethesda:)
DRM free? Interesting.

Bethesda is infamous for their regional blocking, even retroactively (!).

To be fair, this is only an opinion. Steam also forces DRM on its customers and is not bankrupt, nor is Origin or uplay or many others. In truth we don't know if GOG ever stops being DRM-free and not getting bankrupt immediately.

Actually, there could be more reasons why people buy from here. They could like the service... *cough*
Finally DRM free? That's awesome! :-) Thanks, GOG!

PandaLiang: Wonderful! Have been waiting for it for a while. One question:

does it work side by side with the Steam version of Oblivion without interfering with one another? Such as sharing the same directory for saves and setting in My Document?

If they stay entirely separated, then it would be possible to have Nehrim and vanilla Oblivion (with whatever other mods) at the same time.
I don't think this is possible, Oblivion has some paths stored in registry, and the external tools that are usually used (OBMM) rely on those paths. Saved games and settings is another such issue as you correctly note, both games will probably use the same folder in Documents. You could try copying the folders and switch your "active" copy by junction or renaming them around. I'm not sure if active .ESP list is stored in game folder or documents and settings... So there would be a lot of headache to make it work the way you describe.

On the other hand... if I remember correctly, OBMM can save your list of active mods and restore that list into your active copy. I'm sure I did something like that with one total conversion (not Nehrim but it should work too). Switching between "mod sets" this way takes a while, but unless you plan to switch several times a day it should be ok.
elder scrolls, the longest game i have played (decades) without even coming close to starting the main quest line lol. i havent gotten this one yet, will get it for my collection of course, tho will wait for a good sale on down the road. i have plenty of time :P
