You need to see how this one ends!

SiN Gold, a classic first-person shooter with an original futuristic story of fight against an artificial outburst of criminal tendencies, and one of the best level designs of the 1990s, coming complete with the Wages of Sin expansion, is available for only $9.99 on GOG.com.

SiN Gold is one of the great and memorable first-person shooters of the olden days. Upon release it was highly praised for the great execution of its original and involving storyline and great level design, but sadly, it suffered from long loading times and pesky glitches. The fact that the patch fixing these problems was over 30MB in size in the times of Dial-Up Internet didn't help as well. That is how a game that deserves a prominent place in gaming's all-time hall of fame ended up slightly forgotten and overlooked by many FPS fans. With all the trouble way in the past, it is now time to get acquainted (or reunited) with this fantastic title! You can explore different puzzles and new routes each time you play. You will hack computer terminals, control security cameras, and wreak havoc. You will encounter new dangers and intelligent beings in every mission as you fight your way to the ultimate showdown! And you better believe it, an ultimate showdown it will be. The game comes complete with the Wages of Sin expansion.

Begin your crusade against crime and bring down the sinister syndicate lead by the beautiful but deadly Elexis Sinclaire in SiN Gold, for only $9.99 on GOG.com!
Hell yeah! More of those old games, please!
Pretty sweet game. Would have hoped it would be 5.99 though.
There's widescreen mod or something made?

timppu: Nice release. I have the retail versions of Sin + expansion pack, but I recall having some issues getting it to run on modern PC, so I went ahead to play it on my old XP PC. There it runs fine at least.

So maybe I'll get this here at some point. Then again, I must admit this FPS hasn't necessarily aged that well. I recall it came out some time before Half-life, which wiped the floor with it (and pretty much any other FPS as well). So I have to wear my rose-tinted retro-glasses when playing this.

But it was the first single-player PC FPS game where I recall damage areas, e.g. headshots. Maybe Quake TeamFortress (multiplayer) and 007 Goldeneye on N64 had that before it.
From what I recall, the devs rushed the game to completion in order to compete with Half-Life. Very, very bad choice.

I also recall this being buggy as hell. Will buy if reviews are favorable.
Oh man. Heavy Metal F.A.K.K. 2. I can feel it. So close. It's gotta be.

I recall the patches improving the game quite a bit after the initial release version, like the loading times being halved or something like that. I think after patches it was much better, IIRC.
Interesting release, but I'll wait for a sale.
It's too bad Episodes flopped.
Amazing, I hope we get Emergence as well.

Yeah me too.Anyone know what the odds of that are, is a release of that here in the realm of the possible?Has gog given a statement regarding that?
Cool, definitely wishlisted. I got a physical copy, but it doesn't play nice with my computer no matter what.

I'm hoping we get Emergence as well. It's not terribly good from what I remember, but I still liked it for some reason. Must've been the tits, I guess.
Oh yeah, where did you guys get the kickass cover image?

Impaler26: Nice Release! I always wanted to play the game after watching the cheesy animated movie, looks like one of the few shooters i might enjoy.
That film is awesome. People complained about it..but seriously...it has lot of stuff from the game well adapted : )

It has its flaws, but its totally playable right now (in comparaison with Daikatana or Blood 2, far more playable : )

Holy Fat guys having a Karate tussle, Batman!
This is most welcomed news! Probably my second favorite Q2 Engine game! The first being "Soldier of Fortune".
Anyone else remember the extremely cheesy "anime" tie-in for this?

So much for saving money and dealing with my massive Steam backlog... Both will have to wait :)
And yeah, Emergence is a great shooter, too bad the sequel is probably not happening :/
Insta-buy!

I started a subscription to the US edition of PC Gamer magazine in March 1998 as I didn't have access to many PC games at the time. I would play their demo CDs until they broke, and I distinctly recall the old SIN demo being one of my favorites. I never did find a retail copy as a young lad and gave up, putting SIN in that sad, dark hole occupied by games I'd probably never get to play.

I missed my chance to get it through Steam.

I'm not missing my chance here.

I don't care if it is a buggy mess from 98. I'm going to load it up, let the Q2 engine transport me to my happy place, and siege that bank one more time.
I remember playing a demo for this game - very nice classic release!
