cyboff: Don't worry, nobody said they can't release some DLCs after, right? ;)
Right :D

But I think, they won't, because they are working on the sequel, so no more content for the first game.

The Definitive edition costs way less than puchasing the separate pieces. As an owner of the base version (without any expanions and extras) knowing that to complete the pack I need to spend more than repurchasing the definitive edition significantly displeases me. Especially since the expansion is outrageosly expensive considering how much the Definitive costs.

Edit: Next time, dear Paradox and Obsidian, I'll wait an INSANE discount on the definitive edition of your games before even thinking about buying anything from you, just to avoid being treated like an idiot. Much disappointment.

Do I need to own any previous PoE Edition to purchase this? I wanted to take the chance and finally try PoE with the Definitive Edition, but I can't seem to complete my order ("Pay for your order now" button is greyed out). There's also a message saying

"Please note that you are required to own on GOG.com to be able to purchase and play Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire Pack" Obviously I can't get Deadfire Pack before buying the Hero Edition...after which I wouldn't want to pay another 28€ to buy Definitive Edition, of course...

And of course I can't upgrade my Champion Edition (preorder) to get the content I am missing -

Digital Novella by Chris Avellone:
A digital novella that focus on the backstory of some of the more interesting characters that players may encounter over the course of their travels in Pillars of Eternity.

Collector’s Book PDF:
Digital version of the book that is being published by Dark Horse. It contains lots of information and art on the setting, story, and creatures of Pillars of Eternity. 112 pages.

Hi-res Concept Art pieces:
High resolution pieces of our concept art. Contains everything from concepts of areas and creatures to props and mood pieces.

Digital Strategy Guide:
Digital version of our strategy guide from Prima penned by the same writer of the Fallout: New Vegas guide. Contains all the information players will need to master Pillars of Eternity and reveal all of the content available.

- plus anything else extra they might have added... without having to buy the new edition despite owning everything else content wise... despite promises of an upgrade path that exists on Steam but not here...

Bad fucking form Paradox / GOG ><

You need the original Pillars to "buy" Deadfire Pack as a separate product. If you don't have Pillars, just buy Definitive, Deadfire Pack is included.

You shouldn't need to own anything, but GOG dun goofed.
I haven't previously bought the game or any of its add-on content, so the ( discounted ) price of the Definitive Edition looks quite appealing. Wasn't this game really expensive when it was originally released, especially its "special" versions?

Anyhow, don't really have time for another big game now, but perhaps during the holiday sales. Which one is better, this or Divinity: Original Sin ( 1 & 2 )? Or perhaps Wasteland 2?

Also, this is a strange bit of advertisement: "Obsidian Entertainment, the developer of Fallout: New Vegas™ and South Park: The Stick of Truth™"

Don't know about you guys, but when I buy a game like this one, I probably wouldn't want it to be anything like South Park. ( Even if the games are supposedly good. )

Problem is that I apparently can't purchase Definitive Edition unless I own Deadfire Pack, kind of a catch-22. Or just some technical issue on GOG's side...

Frozen: Hahaha... Fuck You, Paradox!
+1

I own the base game, guess i'm screwed like most of you here. -.-
So, if i haven't got this one - it is time to do so?
The wait was long, but totally worth it..hehe
Has anyone managed to successfully purchase this? Still trying to figure out if there's a problem on my end or if the issue is on GOG's side.

I'm having the same problem, as well.
