Jurassic pact.

Lost Eden, a first-person adventure in a world full of sentient dinosaurs and ancient legends is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

This one dates back to the glory days of adventure games, when stories were bizarre, characters were intriguing, and dinosaurs still walked the earth. In the world of Lost Eden, humans and dinos lead an uneasy co-existence, while the tyrannical Moorkus Rex prepares a final assault on the last standing Citadel. Amidst the strife and despair, Adam of Mo must search for the secret of his grandfather, the only man who held the key to uniting the two species and bringing prosperity to the land. Talking pterodactyls, comely ladies, peculiar creatures, blood-thirsty villains, world-changing revelations hidden in our hero's bloodline - this epic fantasy has it all! Can you solve the puzzles, navigate the strange encounters, and leave your mark upon this Lost Eden?

Make humans and dinosaurs work together in harmony as you strive to usher a new era of peace upon the Lost Eden, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Vythonaut: Is that a major spoiler or what? :P
Yes.
This was one of my favorite games as a child. Nowadays I see the flaws (way too easy and repetitive, the graphics have NOT aged well), but I still occasionally listen to the amazing soundtrack and remember the simple but entertaining story. The ending was surprisingly sombre for a game of this nature.

I fully recommend this as an introduction to the adventure genre and urge GOG to track down the fantastic soundtrack and add it as an extra.

The last I heard of Stéphane Picq (who also composed music for Atlantis, Dune and Megarace) was that he stopped working as a composer and now lives in Madagascar and works with precious stones. That´s a great loss for music in general and game music in particular IMHO.

I am grabbing this now, and I hope for more Cryo adventures.
From what I have researched: the graphics are from the same artist who did Dune. Locations are pre-rendered like in Myst. You click stuff or drop items from inventory to use them around. Talking dinosaurs. People - the ones who did not hate it - talk well of the atmospheric soundtrack (not included as an extra here). Short game, 3/4 hours. It was on 3D0, CD-i and Mac also. I am not sure if the Mac version here is just DOSBox. I think so. I'm on Ubuntu and I'm giving it a try!
I knew I recognized the name, another one for the wishlist.
After Interplay was sold off we all thought the interplay titles would be removed from the catalogue. Instead we have been getting new Interplay games almost every week now outside of the special sales that dominated November and December. This is a great sign!

Is there any list of other titles we might expect to get?
looks great! thanks

I love that soundtrack. There is a great cover version you might want to listen to:

catpower1980: YYYYYEEEEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now I'll finally have a chance to finish this wonderful game (lost the cd-rom) :)

BUT.... I'm a bit dissapointed that the great soundtrack hasn't been included (due right issues I suppose) as it's one the big highlight of the game.

For the younger people out there, here's how the OST sounded:

PS: Please GOG, could we also get Commander Blood 1 & 2 this year to complete the Cryo collection? ;)
These are the ones I had listed as missing Cryo games:

KGB (1992) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Dune (1992) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Commander Blood (1994) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Lost Eden (1995) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Aliens: A Comic Book Adventure (1995) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Dragon Lore II: The Heart Of The Dragon Man (1996) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Zero Zone (1998) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive
Salammbo: Battle For Carthage (2003) - 1st Person, Cryo Interactive

And then there are the Arxel Tribe ones.

thanks for the link, am listening to it now, and yes, its really good
Wow! Thank you GOG and Interplay. One of my favorite games ever. This release is the GOG release of the year already! :) Though it's a short game (you can finish it in one sitting), the atmosphere and the music (Stéphane Picq's beautiful notes) worth every single minute.

We don't know if Interplay has been sold off. What we know is that they would be having an auction to sell off their catalog. The result of the auction (or even, if it actually happened), is currently unknown to us.

Games that were originally published by Titus are a safe bet. Games originally published by Interplay/Virgin Interactive is another possibility, but there are lots of ifs and maybes as to whether Interplay has retained the publishing rights (particularly when we are talking about licensed titles or games that are now owned by other companies, like Command and Conquer).

Okay thatnks, I was looking at the lit of Virgin Interactive games on Mobygames. There's definitely some I would love to see here. It's so great that we are still getting old obscure games from the 90's released here regularly. Thank you so much GOG!
Unexpected great release! I remember playing this game back then, when i was much more younger than today. It was excellent experience, but too short in my opinion. Still, it would be great to play this game again.

Also, i hope that this is just first of upcoming Cryo adventure games releases.
I don't personally agree with it all but this is a great read about Cryo's wacky gems.
Way to Interjuegos and Gog! :P
