Cavalary: I'm more worried about that notice where the system requirements should be (and, incidentally, aren't).

What are the odds of sticking to the old schedule then when it comes to these? Not necessarily splitting steadily per week, but at least per year, overall, at least 100 games according to your initial mission statement (at least 3 years old, at most $9.99 full price... for everyone), and maybe 150 total according to the first update of said mission statement (so also including newer games and raising maximum full price to $19.99... still for everyone, for the difference)?

JudasIscariot: Sysreqs fixed :)

As for your question, I don't know, sorry :( It depends on so many factors, whether they are legal technical, or "other", that I can't give you any concrete info on when we can release oldies and such :(
An inconvenient truth.

Meh...

Oh, while you're fixing, noticed that the links in the Drox Operative release notice lead nowhere now that the launch discount's over.

Well, sorry we're not releasing the oldies fast enough. But think of it this way: at least there's something to look forward to :)

edit: and fixed, thanks :)

As for Drox, I'll investigate, thanks :)
There's nothing to look forward to really as we don't have a release schedule. :P
You only know you don't like the release once it's actually released.

You can look forward to games, lots and lots of games :P Sure it's not a specific looking forwards to.. thing but since we DO have LucasArts/Disney signed, you can always look forward to some LA/Disney games, if that's your wont :)

Also, we have a New & Coming section which we add to once everything has been 100% verified confirmed etc. etc. :)

I think for the most part people are just concerned as the release schedule has been rather light as of late. Plus with that it has been some time since we have seen releases from publishers that have been signed with GOG for a while like Ubi-soft and we haven't seen any movies in a while either.

We had a holiday for a while so of course the releases got a bit lighter. Don't worry about the games or movies, we got lots more in store :) All we ask, for the thousandth time, is a little patience, is all :)

We could, if you could be bothered to make some sort of statement regarding approximately when you intend to release more of them ;-)

I think everyone gave up on that section long ago. In the last five years I think I've seen a maximum of five games marked "soon".

Face it, with regards to future releases, GOG is about as secretive as they come. If there isn't an actual pre-order involved, you just don't tell us about any games until they are actually released. It's costing you sales too. Lots of people who would have preferred to buy a given game here have given up and bought it elsewhere, only to see it released here shortly afterwards.

And when we can give out reliable info we do. See Crawl, for example, we announced it coming here with all the proper trimmings (newspost, site take over, social media things etc.). Again, it depends on the game and everything associated with it.

As for older games, while we would LOVE to have them up in the New & Coming section as "Coming Soon" or something like that, we'd rather make sure that a. we have the rights all taken care of (remember: the older, the more entagled the web) and b. the games work reliably and well enough that they maintain our particular standard of quality that we have become known for when it comes to classic releases :)

So either we simply rush older releases and give info about them OR or we ensure everything is 100% good to go and give everyone a surprise release :)

Indies and other publishers that have been here for a while are a whole 'nother set of factors and not all of them known to me as I am just a simple Product guy who handles the goodies and some game card work :)

Not really my thing I'm afraid. I bought Terraria and a couple of similar games a while back and they've been gathering (digital) dust ever since. Any word on when we can expect to see the release of more Lucasfilm games? According to the press release we could expect Lucasfilm games to be popping up frequently, but it's been awfully quiet since the release of the first games in October last year. Any chance of a new release this month?

Or you could, you know, give the information when everything is in place. I somehow doubt that you only manage to secure the rights and test the game on the same day that you release it. I assume that you do actually know, for instance, which games you will release next week.

They already announced in the twitch q&a a couple of months ago that they will make a real coming soon list for upcoming games but nothing is happening as usual on gog.
