A Hard Hard West

Hard West, a brutal Wild West tactical RPG, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com with GOG Galaxy support for Achievements and a 20% launch discount. Coming soon to Mac and Linux!

The Hard West is a dangerous West, a weird West - a world of supernatural forces clashing with human greed, remains and traces of black pacts haunting the dusty roads and saloons. Hard West is hard. In true spirit of a wild, wild west - it's a game that seems to get satisfaction from making sure you never, ever, feel safe and secure. A bullet is a bullet, and folks aren't made out of sponge. They do, however, have an arsenal of tricks and abilities at their disposal - that, and a healthy dose of luck. Your tactical options will include dynamic, improvised cover, ricochets, and using shadows (not just yours) for every advantage you can get.

Hard West is a game that focuses on offering plenty of depth and unfamiliar twists on your favorite kind of squad-based, tactical gameplay.

You can also grab the full Hard West - Digital Collector's Edition, which includes a Digital Artbook, Original Digital Comic Book, and the Full Original Digital Soundtrack or pick up the Hard West - Collector's Pack with all the content later.

Hard West is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for one week, until Wednesday, November 25, 4:59 PM GMT.

Hard West is currently compatible exclusively with 64-bit versions of Windows. 32-bit support will be added in the near future.
Wishlisted because I really like western-themed games. I hope to see Hard West in Xmas sale. :D
Well, this thread's already going swimmingly.

Anywho, congrats to F4LLOUT & co. for the release, and I wish them good luck with sales (and support!). :)

trusteft: You are really making this an issue for 10pence? Wow.
Then get it on Steam with the DRM to go. At least you will save 10p! The world is saved!

Zoidberg: Wow, you're an ass.

If 10 cents is nothing then just offer him to pay the difference, jackass.
I am an ass?
Tell you what, I would gladly pay him (though he didn't ask) and you, the 10p. Just remind me when the capital controls are lifted here. I will paypal you the 10p then.
Played the roundbased battle a bit at Gamescom. It's as good as the battle-part of Expeditions Conquistador IMHO, meaning: Not too overwhelming (few characters but they have personality), but still many options, just right.

the problem isn't the 1% difference.

the problem is : since GOG dropped the flat pricing, this happends on a regular basis, due to currencies fluctuation.

i wish they just stick to one discount.

in other hands , sometimes you get a bit more discount, sometimes you get a bit less.... that's not a big deal sure....but if don't have luck, in the long run , it could cost you the price of another game.

cool
In case you didn't know, the game is ungiftable in Russia (according to MaGog).
Nice game! Congrats for the release of your game, developers! I don't know F4ll0ut all that well, but I wish him success with this game. I know I liked it!
looks intaroosting. I wonder if it's as brutal as it claims.
The only thing on first impression that bothers me, is the art or render style in some of the screenshots. It looks almost too sharp. Time to watch some videos, I suppose.

That's because it has a drawn edge cartoon art style.

F4LL0UT was involved in this? Cool.

General impressions (and those from the 'dex) have been all around positive. Can't wait to get this when the pay comes in.

Well, I watched some videos and again, the screenshots had mislead me.
I will buy this as soon as I can find a way to make $20 appear. Blame that on the over indulgence during the fall sale.

You mean "cel shading"?

I have no idea what method they used, but it doesn't look like cel shading to me. It looks more like some kind of edge detect method. But that may be just my eyes.
