The Fate of The Forgotten Realms is in Your Hands – Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition and Neverwinter Nights 1 + 2 Enhanced Collection are now available on GOG!

Return to the city of Neverwinter. A dark force sweeps over Faerûn, ravaging everything in its path as though searching for something – something that you now find in your possession. As the Shard-Bearer, only you can stop the King of Shadows and his army from desecrating the land you call home. Will you save Faerûn, or fall victim to the temptation of absolute power?

Don’t forget to check out Neverwinter Nights 2 Complete to secure a 25% loyalty discount for the Enhanced Edition – it’s now also a part of the GOG Preservation Program, with verified stability and compatibility with modern systems!

Now on GOG!

cielaqu: The first game has native Linux support, as the rest of the games remastered by Beamdog. Without native linux, the best I can do is -75% at sale.
But this is not remastered by Beamdog, and Aspyr has never made a linux version for any of their remasters.

Skysect: Offline downloaders still aren’t available
And now you got them twice.
Watch out about your wishes ;)
Concerning game crashes on startup: If you have/had installed Neverwinter Nights 2 complete, that installation created a Savegame Options Folder in your document folder, which apparently created a conflict with the enhanced edition maybe wanting to use that same directory?!
Deleting that folder as hinted in the games forum solved the problem for me.

Beamdog was bought by Aspyr.

GundamWingFan: Unpopular opinion: Achievements are unnecessary in games.

Do they actually unlock anything or is it just to show off.

I would much rather developers devote time to make a working complete game.
I wouldn't say it's an unpopular opinion. The people that complain about lack of achievements are just a loud minority. Most people don't care.

I find that the people who like achievements tend to fall into one of the following categories:
1. They are addicted to that little dopamine hit when they "achieve" something.
2. They lack imagination to challenge themselves.
3. They just want trophies to show off on their profiles.

Shame, I thought they were responsible (under Aspyr) for remastering NW2, given theirs experience with the engine.
Remaster doesn't bring enything relevant to the table.
Could somebody who bought the game confirm that the stand alone installers are uploaded and functioning?

Because at least one review says otherwise.

Oh, plus obligatory "fuck achievements" comment, not just for the likes, but because I really really mean it.

I click on the link to the game's page - and what do I see?

Developer: Aspyr
Publisher: Aspyr

This is outrageous lying! The company "Aspyr" did not develop this game. The company "Beamdog" did not develop this game either. Making a couple of minor patches for the game does not give you the right to call yourselves the developers of the game. These games were created by "BioWare" and "Obsidian Entertainment."

Moreover, these so-called "Enhanced Editions" are yet another scam and a money grab. There is no point in buying these editions.

I completely agree with you. Unfortunately, this is how things are nowadays. There’s another DRM-free store that likes to present itself as a developer because they are patching up old games.

Patching a game is nothing compared to creating a game from scratch.
