Investigate the greatest detective's complex psyche.

Batman: The Telltale Series, the Dark Knight's gaming return that we deserve, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with GOG Galaxy support for achievements. The Mac version is going to arrive soon - keep an eye out for the Bat-signal.

Despite being several gazillion dollars apart, we can all relate to Batman, because of our shared aversion to psychotic clowns, obsession with kitties, and love for fast cars. But even more so, we can relate to Bruce Wayne, the man behind the mask (or is he the mask?) trying to make sense of a broken world and a broken childhood, and to leave his hometown a better place than he inherited it.
Telltale opens the door to a noir universe of eccentric supervillains and breakneck action, complete with the emotional and social baggage that burden the billionaire playboy of Gotham City. As a symbol he can be legendary, he can be incorruptible, he can be everlasting. But as a man, he is flesh and blood, and he will need your help to navigate the dark corners of this corrupt, treacherous city.

Get ready to enter the fractured psyche of the Caped Crusader and become the Batman: The Telltale Series, DRM-free on GOG.com.

IAmSinistar: "WHO...ARE...YOU?!?" "I'm (continued in next part)"
At least they don't release the installer and then say "to be continued".. :P

Russonc: Not sure... I generally like the Telltale stories but I've always waited for the complete version.. (see you in about a year on this one....)
Since you enjoy the stories, you could be a potential instabuyer - instead, you'll buy it with a discount if you wait till then.

Very annoying bug with not being able to exit the codex in the computer. Needs a patch!
The reviews glancing them over, at first heavily negative, then a bunch of positive reviews, then it's mixed.

Some say it's a console port, while others say the game is great with no issues. Although like the DSOGaming site told on, a lot of people are stuck at 10fps, or with their mouse held hostage in some corner of the screen.

Hmmm...

edit: I wonder if the separation of users is those using Win10 & DX12? It's a new engine so perhaps that could be an obvious contender?

edit2: Seems it's DX11 and notes i see say you need the latest drivers. The Latest Drivers, which i wouldn't be surprise is the big hint of it all. Namely game devs don't program their games properly and NVidia/AMD have to include overrides/fixes to make it actually work because they are probably using the API wrong or doing things in the wrong order.

I will get the game but only after it is completed and released. I am not paying for episodes in advance.
these telltale games getting shorter and shorter every game

Although I do enjoy TellTale's games, I will be waiting for this to be complete before buying.
Also I would like it if GOG would release the rest of the Lego Batman games.

how long did you need to finish this episode?
I have no doubt Telltale will have a great game in their hands. But releasing it in episodes just doesn't make any sense to me. I play the first episode now, I enjoy it, I want more and....I have to wait weeks or months for the next part of the game....why? No no no.

Guessing by the average duration from the reviews... about 2.5 hours.

I don't mind getting a discount :) . I just want to wait for the complete story before I get started (impatient).

Sounds Telltale to me.
Has Always been the issue with them. Something that could be understandable in their first years with few people, not now with 300+ people and a lot of commercial success on ip that sell on their own. At this point I believe it's fair to ask a bit of quality and not condone those issue.
75 % of summer 2017 sales fodder for me
and even then i wouldnt be really tempted

paschott: I really enjoyed TellTale's Back to the Future story - captured just enough of the flavor of the movies with crazy point n click adventure mechanics. Well worth what I paid for it.

The reviews I've seen so far for Batman have been positive - indicating that this is a different direction than other Batman games as you explore the Bruce Wayne side as well as the Batman side. I'm hoping the timed/action sequences aren't too brutal, but indications about the story are good so far. Reviewers who've played the game also said that your dialog choices can come back to affect you later - make friends w/ one of the villains and it could affect their behavior towards you in the future as well as the behavior of others towards you. I'm sure that's somewhat limited in scope, but it should still be interesting to see how it plays out.
it's telltale.

choices have never mattered to them except as metrics. i would be /incredibly/ surprised if they stopped being lazy and started making your choices matter at this late stage.

it always /looks/ like your choices will matter, but they never do. [wolf among us finally soured me on their whole mantra of "make choices! they will change things!"]
