Investigate the greatest detective's complex psyche.

Batman: The Telltale Series, the Dark Knight's gaming return that we deserve, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, with GOG Galaxy support for achievements. The Mac version is going to arrive soon - keep an eye out for the Bat-signal.

Despite being several gazillion dollars apart, we can all relate to Batman, because of our shared aversion to psychotic clowns, obsession with kitties, and love for fast cars. But even more so, we can relate to Bruce Wayne, the man behind the mask (or is he the mask?) trying to make sense of a broken world and a broken childhood, and to leave his hometown a better place than he inherited it.
Telltale opens the door to a noir universe of eccentric supervillains and breakneck action, complete with the emotional and social baggage that burden the billionaire playboy of Gotham City. As a symbol he can be legendary, he can be incorruptible, he can be everlasting. But as a man, he is flesh and blood, and he will need your help to navigate the dark corners of this corrupt, treacherous city.

Get ready to enter the fractured psyche of the Caped Crusader and become the Batman: The Telltale Series, DRM-free on GOG.com.

I was going to ask if anyone's tried this yet, but I'm going to guess No based on it was released 15 minutes ago :P
Hmm I like Batman, but I hate Telltale...
Oh well, wouldn't buy it before it was complete anyway.
I'm looking forward to play this, probably buy it in the next big sale. I'm curious how they will do Batman, TellTale hasn't disappointed me yet so I'm sure it will be good.

I played the Back to the Future game they did back before they standardized into their little formula. I muddled through the game as I recall, and it wasn't bad, but I don't recall being satisfied with the story at any point in it.

I'll hold off until the entire series is completed and out before considering it. Although as it stands, it's unlikely I'd get any of their games.
I really enjoyed TellTale's Back to the Future story - captured just enough of the flavor of the movies with crazy point n click adventure mechanics. Well worth what I paid for it.

The reviews I've seen so far for Batman have been positive - indicating that this is a different direction than other Batman games as you explore the Bruce Wayne side as well as the Batman side. I'm hoping the timed/action sequences aren't too brutal, but indications about the story are good so far. Reviewers who've played the game also said that your dialog choices can come back to affect you later - make friends w/ one of the villains and it could affect their behavior towards you in the future as well as the behavior of others towards you. I'm sure that's somewhat limited in scope, but it should still be interesting to see how it plays out.

I have some of their older games but never finished them. I really like their newer games though but wish they would skip the episode thing.
At first I wanted to get the game immediately, but considering that I didn't like Telltales latest games I decided to not buy it.
I'll wait for a discount and wishlist the game for now.

So those little notes in the corner that says 'they will remember this' or 'this has consequences' might actually mean something? :P

To my understanding usually those have little in-game effect. Regardless I don't mind getting strung in a story that makes sense as long as it doesn't feel like I'm led by the nose. But when logic fails then I'm thrown out of the game and lose interest. Only time will tell how this does.
Reading the review on steam and the telltale forum it seems that the game has a lot of issue on pc. Knowing the total lack of post release support Telltale provide to their games and customers (on GOG there are still plenty of their games that are waiting for a fix) I advice to refrain from purchasing it until the situation is solved.
A honest question: Why do they love so much this episodic delivery of their stories?

Aside from the type of gameplay these Telltale games offer, which I personally don't like, what is putting me off is the episodic nature of them.
I loved the Wolf Among us and I quite enjoy the Batman mythos but I'm not a fan of episodic releases. I'll buy it once all episodes are up.
"WHO...ARE...YOU?!?"

"I'm (continued in next part)"

Not sure... I generally like the Telltale stories but I've always waited for the complete version.. (see you in about a year on this one....)

I've played a the first two chapters, and there is indeed some slow down/performance drops. However it's not been to much of an issue, but you might notice it more on weak hardware.

So far though, I've not been disappointed, but I love DC comics.
