RyaReisender: I have played the older Age of Wonders games but couldn't really get into them as they felt too slow paced for me (too much army management). Any chance I'd like the third game anyway or just not my type of game?
I played heaps on the third one - basic game campaigns (only two...), bought two expansions packs (second one today), but haven't played them yet. From single player point of view AoW3 is much bigger than previous games - maps can be huge, more units, more spells so much more artifacts, more options, city management, more interesting battles. There are less missions in campaigns than in previous games, but they can take so much time - especially when you try to have minimal losses in units and you don't want to loose any city. The game is definitely more complex, which is good - once you get used to all the new options. Is the new game more fun than AoW Shadow Magic, or Wizard's Throne? That is hard to say - it depends on your expectations. I for one had a blast with their last installment and now this expansion should deliver more fun. I only wish that single player campaigns would be done with more creative and interesting way.
With 66% discount the game is definitely worth a try! I paid full price and never regret it!
Question : Is the complete bundle ( base game + all DLCs + upgrade pack ) giftable from Russia ?

Very nice.. but I shall wait for the Linux version :)
A promo package is messed up. It literally sales the same game twice: once as standard edition and once as Deluxe Edition. Makes no sense, I guess the idea was to sell AoW 3 + Deluxe Edition Upgrade + Golden Realms.

Wait we shall. Triumph needs a kick in the ass.

Due to regional pricing the whole game is still too expensive to me. I wait more and do not buy it.

I only get these expensive games when I travel to a region where they're cheaper, but for people who don't have reason/opportunity to go to those areas, it's a pretty raw deal. =(
Any news about the Mac & Linux-Versions?
Anyone with the expansion reading this and any GOG staff. Are you aware of a particular bug that cause it to crash when you open the diplomacy screen from the independents shield and clicking on a faction will cause it to crash? I have brought the issue to the attention of the AOW forum and a moderator replied that the steam version already has the hotfix and they have to wait 2 weeks just to release the hotfix for GOG. Any chance this could be done ASAP?
bump
Looks like i have to pass the game until it will be cheaper than now . :(

JudasIscariot: Hey, I too am gunning for the Linux version as I have been waiting ages to play :) That said, as soon as we get it, we'll get it out to everyone :)
Hi,

read that there will be no Linux Version of AOW 3 on GoG. Hello GoG! I know, it isn't your fault but an official anouncement would be nice. Something that explains why all Linux users have to go to steam to buy the game or something like this. There is nothing so frustating like waiting for nothing.
