A Key for online access? No. This must be stopped right here and not allowed to manifest itself into more sophisticated and threatening forms of DRM. GOG is our go-to for DRM-FREE gaming and we would like it to remain so. As much as it is understandable for the good people at GOG wanting to expand their business and increase profits, this goes against the very nature of this service.read more I don't want to bash the game, for it is an excellent work of the industry, however, I think you should not purchase it on this platform.

I think the game is stellar and I am looking forward to additional content and patches. I don't get the whining about an online key though. Gating official servers helps keep operating costs manageable and the community limited to paying customers. I see no problem with that. The game has zero copy protection, so it's hardly a big deal. Online access, rather, is an added bonus. The game works just fine in offline mode.

The game is one of the better turn-based strategy games out there. Fans have been waiting a long time for this game and it does not disappoint.
I'm sorry to see GoG members give the game 1 star reviews, just because its online function requires a key. You can just use Hamachi or another service to avoid the key. This way they can offer the game on GoG while still making sure thatread more some people actually pay for it. Otherwise it could possibly only end up as a top torrent somewhere.
