That is really great and I hope GOG continues releasing games like that but with Spacecom I don't really understand why they would want to bring a multi-player focused game here without GOG Galaxy and on top of that regionally priced while the game is being sold at a flat price on the publisher's own website.

I guess to make it more attractive to buy at their store? The game is also regionally-priced on GamersGate, Humble Store and Steam, while their flat-priced offering at their store has both a DRM-Free download and a Steam key.
Edit: Stupid sentence omission.

Grargar: "Publisher: 11 bit studios."
Hmmm... where have I seen that name before? Ah yes, Games Republic! Most interesting that it's sold flat-priced on the publisher's distribution platform.

IAmSinistar: Nice. Regional pricing AND hypocrisy. Good thing I'm not that interested in the game to begin with, as it's pretty much sunk itself now for me.
Why hypocrisy? Because they use different pricing in different stores?

Because they require other vendors to use regional pricing while they don't use it themselves. Pretty solid example of "do what I say, not what I do", regardless of how they try to excuse it.

Well how will those customers who buy from the stores like you mentioned and are mostly looking for Steam keys would be attracted by GOG without any client like GOG Galaxy. A client that would make multi-player games convenient like it is with Steam for them.

I guess its all just speculation on my part because only the people that purchase the GOG version would be able to tell how the multi-player works right now. Maybe it already has some GOG Galaxy multi-player connection features like The Witcher Adventure Game Beta. :)

Nothing I said relates to GOG, at least not in regards with this game (I gave Shadowgate as an example that GOG doesn't necessarily offer regional pricing on every new release).

What I wanted to point out was that the game sold on the publisher's store offers flat-pricing, DRM-Free download and a Steam key on top of all that, while other stores are stuck with either regional pricing and/or Steam keys only.
high rated
I suppose I'm not the only one that's glad when they see this thread hasn't any new posts, right?
Haven't check out the release thread yet, but from what I've read in here, I might not even bother.

stg83: It makes one wonder why GOG didn't use that as a point to argue for flat pricing here as well. GOG have said that they are going to continue to strive for flat pricing with all games as a first priority but this recent edition of a regionally priced multi-player focused game doesn't really inspire a lot of confidence.
I was wondering the same thing ever since Nordic left.

Seeing how things go lately, I'd be willing to believe that it has more to do with Zojoi than GOG.

I understand now my apologies, since I was talking about GOG I got caught up in that and thought you were referring to them instead of the publisher's website. :)

No need for apologies, because I see why there was a mix-up; my answer on post 392 is all over the place. You asked why GOG brought that game here when GOG Galaxy isn't even available, but also why it's regionally-priced here when it's flat-priced on the publisher's website. My answer was meant to address the second point, but it decided to take a walk instead.

This. Maybe the new normal...
Too bad, would have been an instabuy for me otherwise.

Definitely not...

Question, did the original release announcement state that the game was regionally priced? Because I think I glanced at it earlier and don't remember that, was actually checking whether the developer or publisher were involved with any others on the list of shame (updated btw).

Yes it did.

Hm, selective blindness on my part then.

In a sense... I mean, it is increasing, and not that slowly. If the list froze, that would maybe stabilize my feelings about this. for the moment seeing this has eroded my enthusiasm for GOG

Understable. Refusing to see it, or only seeing that, not much difference...
