DanTheKraut: Companies which are located in Germany because the German law ends at the German border. The BPjM can't do anything when it comes to none German stores (located in Germany) except indexing the website and there are no shops on the index.
gameware.at and some other store nearly got "indexed" - which essentially means that google.de can't list them. It took them a lot of effort to prevent this...

A company like GOG indexed basically means killing it for the German market.
It would be interesting to see how many people end up on GOG's website through a search engine.

stryx: If your company is located within the EU and you are (also) selling to German customers, you'll also have to abide by German law, because the German law is enforcable through EU law.
Show me that specific law pls and show me a few shops outside of Germany which really follow the German youth protection law (I can only name 1 which is Ubisoft).

You're looking for "REGULATION (EC) No 864/2007 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL
of 11 July 2007 on the law applicable to non-contractual obligations (Rome II)"

http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/ALL/?uri=CELEX:32007R0864

Here http://www.it-recht-kanzlei.de/versand-ins-ausland-anwendung-deutsches-recht-ausrichtung.html

you can see how different national laws can affect a web shop selling it's products within the EU.

Especially "Lauterkeitsrecht" in the first part and "Kein Ausschluss anderen zwingenden Rechts" in part two.

The article argues from the point of view of a German web shop, but it works the same the other way around.

If this would count 99,9% of the none German stores would violate the youth protection law of Germany. GOG violates it anyway.
As it seems, the newly released Army Men RTS is locked at least in South Africa.

Stay tuned for MaGog's official confirmation around 7PM UTC.

It's locked for me, redirects me to the frontpage
Confirmed: it's regionally locked in South Korea and South Africa, like the rest of the series.

The newly added game Army Men RTS is regionally locked in KR, ZA
*sigh*

Well not really a surprise. I've added it to the list...

The rating for the uncensored version was refused twice and GOG doesn't sell the censored version which has a rating in Australia.

Well, MaGog hasn't tagged it as blocked in Australia yet, but its entry doesn't include any kind of regional pricing info for Australia, so you can consider it semi-official as per MaGog's standards.

Alright. I'll add it then.
