MarkoH01: And Timeshift also is not region locked for Germany on Steam but still .... ;)

Not exactly true either.

Agreed :)

Well I'm not able to find Timeshift on Steam at the moment, Singularity on the other hand is available on Steam but the German language version of that game is censored anyway....

Oh, sorry I confused both of them.
But even with singularity ALL versions are avvailable on steam and at least accoring to steam it's not a low violence version. On GOG it's officially not available at all.

No problem - happened to me multiple times too ;)
Yes, same with Far Cry 1 (although this one's apparently only available in English on Steam). And only if you play the game in German it's censored (at least with the Steam version), no idea if it's the same with the GOG version - it doesn't have a seperate German installer...
Too capitalistic? :P

Wait, what? That makes no sense...

I'll add it to the list....

You know what makes even less sense than no sense? I'm in China now and I can access Turmoil on Steam!

Which begs the question: Is gog region blocking games for lulz? If there is an actual reason for the lock, I'd be very interested to know about that reason, especially since it doesn't seem to affect Steam.

Can some German goglodyte confirm this one, please?

Holy shit, it's true. At first I thought this might just be a bug, because I can't find any news of it being removed from the index, but it's not locked on Steam, either. It looks like Activision actually submitted an appeal to the BPJM for this game.

Good news, then! :)

Absolutely.
Although, Phantasmagoria 2's region lock had the rather amusing side effect of giving the first game an unexplained permanent discount because of that whole "series bundle" deal.

I'm just kind of surprised that Activision decided to fork over the money to get this particular game stricken from the list, I'd have thought they didn't see any value in doing that.

And unless there's an official statement from GOG, Activision or someone else, we probably won't know for sure what happened until the end of the month, when the BPJM releases their report.

Why wasn't? It still is a Japanese game. :p
Of course, Quake IV is region-locked in Germany, just like Quake II and III.
