Alright, I'll try my luck. I'm in! I have fond memories of Quake, but I never beat it, so a second chance would be really nice.

As for the conspiracy theory, well, there was never a giveaway #1. It's all a setup by the Illuminati to make governments around the world blame each other and engage in Suicide Squad style Black Ops and fight for all the resources. Just look at all the ships in the ocean. THERE ARE NONE THAT WE SEE! And the cruise liners always have the same pattern. Always the same touristic routes. That's because the oceans are a battleground! And this is not even the best part. The best part is that the Illuminati are ALIENS that try to hold humanity from evolving since they can't exterminate us due to an intragalactic, or maybe intergalactic, accord that states civilizations like ours are under special protection. These good-for-nothings are conducting black ops behind the accord in order to keep us from evolving and conquering them! Also, 9-11 was done by Bush, and Jared from Subway is now enjoying a foot long in prison!

And if you think all I said is just random gibberish, well, maybe it is. You never know. Or maybe apehater here himself is part of the Illuminati.
I'm in as well !
As for what happened to giveaway no 1... Well, this is going to sound crazy, but then all conspiracy theories sound like that... Anyways, here's what happened: So, you made the new topic "quaketastic giveaway" (you hadn't of course put any number next to it whatsoever, as you didn't anticipate what was going to happen next...). However, at about the same time you were experimenting with a nifty magic hat you happened to find lying around and accidentally made the giveaway thread alive.
The now alive thread decided however that it didn't want to spend the rest of its life as a simple ga thread at first and as a forgotten, ended thread afterwards (so is the life of a giveaway!), and decided it preferred the more adventurous ways of being a freelance reporter, so off it went to do some reporting. Of course you tried to stop it ("come back, giveaway! I need you to do your designated task!"), but you didn't manage to track it down until it had uncovered something BIG - that there's this secret group which goes under many names (it's known as the Neo-Templars to some, the Illuminati to others etc) and that group had lately decided to enact a failproof plan to manage to rule over the world. You still don't know what exactly your thread had uncovered though because those evil guys promptly recruited an army of alts and eradicated your thread out of existence (by *ahem* reporting it as spam). Poor, poor thread... May the bytes be light upon it... :-(
Hopefully, this thread won't want to change careers...

Anyways, thanks for hosting this giveaway apehater and +1!
Not in but congratz on an Earth Shaking giveaway like this, apehater. Such good memories arising while remembering about those good ol' Quake 1 times... got a smile out of a serious guy living some difficult moments lately.... 0;)

REDVWIN

Not in, but +1 for your generosity!  :-)
I'm in! Thanks for the giveaway!

Giveaway #1 was away from someone and then that someone sent this message. So, giveaway#1 didn't have any choice but to go back. It's fine btw, don't you worry about it's health. ;)

theslitherydeee: I'll enter for grargar.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I succeeded at acquiring the game with the help of a friend. Enter for yourself, instead.

apehater: 4. enter only for yourself (exception: i allow one user to enter for grargar, instead for himself. as grargar is now on vacation and can't enter)
Thanks for the awesome giveaway and for the exception apehater, but you can now remove it (the exception), as I'm both back from vacation and have acquired the game thanks to a little help from one of my friends.

ok done
I know what really happened - a woman in the middle attack!
Its not a secret that today games crash much more often than in the past. That forum accounts get stolen much ofter. Games refuse to run. According to recent research, the reason of this was tracked to the actions of a secret society, Gameluminati - members of which are women that actively seek ways to prevent boys & men playing games and "do something important" instead. So, if you happen to have remarked a sentence from your mother, girlfriend or wife that you should really stop playing games and "do something important" instead, then chances are - they are members of the club. Research found out, that the members actively hack into your machine, access your data, trace your networks and then do everything possible to make you hate spending time with your games.

Fortunately, there is a temporary solution, namely the secret project of merging the best devices which women find most interesting has succeeded - a camera, chat application, mp3 player, phone.- all provided on top of single device with controls that are so easy, even baby can use it.

Yes, experts agree. Buying your gf, wife, mother, sister a smartphone does indeed lead to decrease of hacking attacks, launch problems and headaches. Very possibly, that was what happened to your thread.

PS
I am in, for myself :)

I'm in. Thank you, apehater, +1.

As I don't believe in conspiracies, I looked around and found out that indeed nothing at all has happened to "Giveaway Number One".
It is still alive and well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aCIh2AQt38.
Hope you survived the storm.
