Looking at those trailers I'm actually quite stoked for it. Unfortunately, I was also quite stoked for Shadow Warrior 2 before its release and I'm in the group where the whole concept change from the first to the second really did not work. It was even worse because I started playing the first again before the release of the second and didn't finish it. Side by side like this, the second felt even worse.
From what I hear the third is supposed to be much closer to the first. If that is indeed true, I'm probably willing to forgive and forget the second ever happened. But I'm going to check that before dipping even a toe in this time.

Ya I have to wonder that and I am not Asain.. for me it is not just the ironic near if not bigoted reasoning (as its up to debate by some folks if its full on bigoted or not as bigoted but still has traces to it) Is the new va sounds more stereotypical British then anything and not talented.. Plus the fact is that accent makes no sense canon wise .. But also they wasted alot of money and time as they already payed the old va for voice work on this game and took more resources to match lip flaps and more money.. then add to that they are santizing the humor for it was ''too offensive for everyone '' their words not mine on why they said they changed the humor too

Wait... It is... Possible?! I mean, if now some Russian guy in the game isn't voiced by a Russian actor - it is possible to force a company to change that? For example, everything concerning Russian culture or language was extremely terrible in the, for example, Tomb Raider 2013 or Rise of the Tomb Raider. I barely could understand that "Russian" voicelines. So, now it is possible to change that in the future titles?

You know, from our side it looks something kinda like that. I mean, compare movies and characters from 80s and 10s. Back then, there were great movies and great characters. 30 years later - mostly terrible reboots of great movies that were made in the 80s and 90s.

So is that funky lookin sword gonna be locked behind Galaxy being on or not? that one in CP2077 was so hmm..

If using a non-Asian as a voice-actor is racist, it dictates that dubbing movies and TV-shows must be racist too.
Since how many of these dub-actors are actually matching the ethnicity of the character they speak for.
Most countries in Europe use dubbing to various degrees, from full dubbing to dubbing only for childrens movies.
And from what I've read, dubbing is very common elsewhere in the world as well.

In the West we often dub anime, how many of these voice-actors are Japanese or matching the character's ethnicity? And why is it only racist if certain people do it? is it not equally racist when a Japanese person does voice-acting for a Western character like Geralt from Witcher or Lara Croft.

If it is such an issue, why should game developers bother localizing their games. Just make all the Wicther games in Polish and add subtitles, period. Likewise, Japanese developers should not bother localizing theirs apart from subs, and so on. After all, that would be the politically correct thing to do according to contemporary moral fashion.
[edit: the politically correct IGN, GamSpot, Kotaku etc. all celebrated when the latest Yakuza game featured english dubbing, with only few of the English voice-actors being Japanese. This was aparently not a moral issue for them].

This new obesession with ethnicity leads to a lot of inconsistencies, double-standards and hypocrisy, despite claiming to be acting for the sake of moral principle. Principle means that you apply what you preach to everything you see, not cherry-pick when to apply your principles or not. That's not what having moral principles entails.

As for the game itself. I really liked the first re-make, SW 2 did not appeal to me so I didn't play it, and this new one looks even less appealing. Thankfully there are other old-school FPS games around.
