Abe's Oddysee reconstructed.

<span class="bold">Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty</span>, a critically acclaimed restoration of Abe's Oddysee, is available for pre-order now on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, with a 10% pre-order discount!

<span class="bold">Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty</span> earns the right to call itself a true remake. It's so much more than just a graphical upgrade, it's a modern retelling of the unforgettable experience that Abe's Oddysee was all these years ago. The unsettlingly beautiful visuals, the disturbingly odd universe, and the unforgivingly difficult gameplay were enough to leave a lasting impression on anyone who encountered Abe's Oddysee. Seventeen years later, <span class="bold">Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty</span> retains the setting, the sounds, and the flavor; all brought up to modern platforming par, and beyond, with updated controls, refined mechanics and a reconstructed experience.

If you pre-order, you'll also receive two pieces of New 'n' Tasty DLC for free:
-Bonus level: Alf's Escape
-Alternative costume: Scrub Abe

<span class="bold">Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty</span> makes a tremendous impression, rose-tinted glasses not required. You can pre-order it now, DRM-free on GOG.com!
Those games are really good. I don't need those remakes as the original are still good for me.

However I hope they sell well so that they can make more games in the same universe. Let's hope the developer does a better job for the initial release than it did for the release of the Oddbox.
Why he has no news on French site?
I already have the original Oddworld games and they are good as they are.

This is just another pointless remake as it seems - no thanks!
Any discount planned for those already owning the old version?

Daliz: I so very much hope TW3 will come to Linux. Sorry OT
The eON devs are probably "paving the way" for TW3. That's great.
edit: Train Fever just got added and, afaik, there's a linux port. Holy crap, fantastic!
How much DLC is planned for this? Is it just the two that are free now for preorders or is there a whole lot planned making it better to wait for a complete pack?
The bonus level will most likely be sold as separate DLC. Dunno about the costume.

Oddworld's preeety cool.
Didn't expect it to show up this fast here on GOG.

Still haven't the originals here yet because lack of language options.
saw this game in pc gameplay , there was some preview info about a remake of abe, i believe there would also be a
quite different abe game, dunno for sure but i thought i read something about it.

Stunning next-gen 3-D visuals
Out now on PlayStation 4 - download now!

IDPLAY: Didn't expect it to show up this fast here on GOG.

neither did i, its quite new, but maybe because gog already has the old ones ?
language? usually its all english, i like english, i have no problem with english language or voiceover, its my favorite, i would never want games in dutch, i have loads of casuals in dutch (luckily only dutch menu and text voices are english (thank god)

Way back i did buy some dutch educational games (not for myself ofcourse) and i was glad the voices were done by belgians, these have better voice overs then dutch
think about lion king , timon and pumba

All my software and windows will be english unless mickeysoft stops selling them in europe (netherlands) then i be forced to use dutch languaged software (iewwe)
You see, all programming codes are english based so why use dutch design software when you have to use english to program a code?:D
Html is english, why use a dutch browser?

Sorry, as long as it's regionally priced I'll rather replay the original game.

Pardinuz: Brilliant video. Thanks for sharing.
I don't get why this game was even made other than for cash-grabbing purposes... Same old story.
I was expecting just a fix for the quick save... turns out to be not really a remake, since many things got changed for no reason (already being full functional). the video explained a lot of the changes and made some important points. Thanks for the video Nalkoden.
Just another remake? Ptth yeah right, since when do remakes create new graphics from the ground up. Deserves praise if you ask me.
