same here.... its not for the 2 bucks discount on pre-order if i liked the 3d (i seldom like new versions of classics think of jagged alliance and the like they messed up pretty bad when going 3d) same goes for fallout they messed up when fallout had to become a 3d fpp

the 2 bucks off would not make me preorder, 19,99 = a lot of money 17.99 still is a lot, so for 2 bucks no need to pre-order , if you like the game you buy it anyways as long as its below 24.99 i am willing to buy digital games

Yep, that one is a real REMAKE, not a Remaster!

and we do praise it, no one said the game is bad, but as user of old games i go for old version all the way, so i wont buy and wont play it

i dont say the game doesnt look good, the graphics are brighter then old version, but some extra effects have been added, more flashes and if one has sensitive eyes, you stay clear from too flasy stuff :D

I asked the creator of xulima if there could be a weather option (mostly for the lightning effects)
luckily more people asked bout an option... and the option will be able in the config file but that requires version 1.7 which will be on GOG next according to the developer i talked with in steam ( i have xulima on steam aswell)
I updated the steam and the irritating eyehurting lightning was indeed gone so i can finished that wonderfull game
Now i am waiting for the developer to release the update on GOG, so i can play the GOG version of the game and finish it (i dont like clients to run games, they slow the game and mess up(althought steam will tell it wont, i find the use of clients and overlays make a game suffer in performance)

- Regionally priced
- Day 1 DLC
- Preorder bonuses

All this makes it a NO-NO in my book.

I wish there was a "hide this game" feature so that we can totally ignore certain games.

I have no problem with the english version - Played it myself .
The Steam version has multiple languages (Despite the store page saying it hasn't) though so why not GOG as well? The german localisation still has nostalgia value for me.

God I hope they changed the save system.

Of course it goes without saying the protagonist has a brilliant name. :D

lol, an option to hide the 'stinkers' in our library would be great, offcourse still leave an on and off button

on GG you can hide games so they wont show up in the shelf... i have hidden many stinkers, cause boy there is a lot of crap released on GG, which you only see after you bought it, and..... you cannot return any game on GG, bought = bought
so if you dont like it , bad luck, once downloaded no way to get a refund.

only if its incomplete like 1 game i had, they chcked the install and i got a BLC refund right away,
too bad they dont give a money back guarantee , thats why GOG is the best and will stay the best cause noone is having it.

Couldn't agree more. I can't believe someone can honestly call this "something made just for some cash-milking".
Artistic preference aside, this IS how you should (make an effort to) remake a game.

Like many others here I like the idea, but with the DLC I think I will just sit it out and wait for a gold version.

Lots of remakes last days/months. Are nowadays developers desperate of lack of New 'n Tasty ideas?
In many cases I personally prefer original over remake.

It is far from pointless. the original game is great to look at but it plays like crap.

it is.... and too me most (if not all original games i have) will always be better, back then they created with the means they had, and it was wonderful. now with todays technology all has to become more 3d engine like, i dont like 3d, handrawn graphics or art/pixel art like the classic have are always best, moneky island 3d, ? no way i ever buy or play that, i like the cartoony graphics , 3d is excellent for onine FPP games (shooters)
like cod and that, please leave the single player games in 2d :D


depends, users who got the game when it came out got used to it... users that got it after there were games which had better controls are a little bit spoiled....
