A desperate fight for life is near! Wasteland 3 is now available for pre-order, DRM-free. The third part of a famous post-apocalyptic saga from Deep Silver and inXile Entertainment is coming to us on 19th May 2020. Pre-order Wasteland 3 comes along with Colorado Survival Gear DLC.

Wasteland 3 is a squad-based roleplaying game that takes us to Colorado, some time after the devastating events of a nuclear war. As a Desert Ranger, you must struggle to defend the fragile civilization from enemies – the blood-thirsty gangs and fanatic cultists.

ncc386: I was interested before they sold out and became part of Microsoft... and then doubled-down by defending it as a good move for everyone involved. Yeah. Blow me.

Pheace: Good chance it's a day 1 on MS Game Pass so might be able to play it for $1 if they have a deal at the time

Spent $1 total to play both The Outer Worlds and State of Decay 2 on release so far xD
W3 has been confirmed as a day one release on Game Pass, both PC and console. That's how I'm going to play it and if it's really great I can buy it a few years later on deep sale.

Nice. Still debating whether to do the several year Xbox Live sub and then upgrade it all to ultimate. Could get like 2 years + 3 months for a little over 80 right now. A couple more games like Wasteland and it might actually be worth it :p
I'm still waiting for W2 30th Anniversary Edition and W1 remastered bundle

apehater: inxile is shady
Deep Silver is shady. inXile not as much.
Nope. Not paying full price for a game from inXile. Not after they screwed over backers of previous projects because their staff couldn't be bothered to spend half an hour matching pledge tiers to digital editions. (And no, I don't care that they later "fixed" their mistake when it was convenient for them to consolidate editions or whatever - I don't recall them issuing an apology for their inexcusable treatment of backers in the first place.)

Maybe when it hits 75%-90% off, then I'll take another look at the game.

DadJoke007: 50% off? 75% or bust, with the number of hours in my backlog I can outlast until the game turns retro if I have to.
avatar
trusteft: I would like to laugh, but I can't.
My backlog of games is so enormous even if I stopped buying games right now I would have enough games (if played properly) to last a full lifetime. Which wouldn't be that bad if I was still my teens or even 20s.
I am seriously beginning to think I have to focus on playing more games to manage to play a good portion of them before I die of old age (if I make it that far that is).
And that's without considering games I will buy in the future.

toxicTom: I'm still waiting for the Wasteland 1 Remaster "30th Anniversary Edition"... first announced for early 2019, now for Q4 2019. Last entry on the inXile forums by an employee was from mid-October and said "very soon".
avatar
trusteft: Oh my, I didn't know this was a thing, or perhaps I forgot about it.
As I have never played either of the first two games, I wonder if I should wait for the remastered of the first before I touch them.
I'm more of a collector at this point as there have been few games that I completed with such a huge backlog that I have, but still; I still enjoy the journey with most of my games, that finishing them isn't really the goal anymore! And yeah, I am far from being in my 20s as well!

You bet your ass I'll be getting this game sooner or later though!

I don't think you'll see many games with Windows 7 support being released next year.
(I'm not saying they won't run in Win7 - it's not the same)
£54.99...

Looks like the standard price is going up for new video game releases on PC now...

I wonder how far they can push it and get away with it?
Im looking forward to the release. I liked Wasteland 2. But I'm surely not pre-ordering anything. Doubly not at that price!
Preorder DLCs are a no from me. Hard pass
Oh.... look... its an Isometric RPG on GOG.... at the edge of 2020.
