Crispy78: Bloody unlikely. Can't imagine GOG have the resources or capability to host any MMORPG, and I very much doubt that, if they were going to do it, it would be for such a niche title...

Well, it offered some things that are not present in other MMO, like ship combat. Plus the appeal of a popular franchise. Plus the whole "Pirate Era" setting, which can be pretty darn seductive. That separates it from your run of the mill fanasy orc basher, even if the gameplay is similar.
But I think they are more concerned with the survival of the communities they built around the game. It's like my old clubhouse : It was a crummy, unsanitary, nearly ruined piece of junk, but it was the place where I met my friends around some dice and a pizza, so we fought tooth and nail to keep it.
