An erotic adventure to unravel the plot that will change the universe forever – Tales From The Unending Void: Season 1 is now available on GOG.

Camran, nobleman and smuggler, roams the galaxy. As he becomes part of sinister plans, his life is changed for good. Season 1 of the game contains 12 episodes that make up the first act of the story.

Check it out!
"The game contains explicit sexual content including (but not limited to) incest, harem, anal, lesbian, corruption, voyeurism, masturbation, trans/futanari (optional), group sex (optional), BDSM (sub & dom, optional), pregnancy (optional), creampies, facials, watersports and much more! "

Lol.
I will say this, they do avoid it looking like source filmmaker porn, but it ain't a high bar.

cmclout: From the Store page:

So you expect people to buy this (season one) on GOG, then buy it again on Steam, and then buy seasons 2 and 3 as DLC on Steam? Why bother releasing season one on GOG if you're going to release the remaining two seasons only on Steam?

Who cares if this is an uncensored bonus edition of season one when the remaining two seasons will be released only on Steam?
The store page uses the wrong text for some reason, as I submitted a different version. Unfortunately, I can't update the page directly, but it's definitely my intention to release the DLC here on GOG once the development of each has finished.

Hi, can you add the Galaxy achievements to the GOG version of the game?

I had them all set up, but unfortunately a bug in the game's engine (Ren'Py) is preventing the achievements from being triggered (this happens with other visual novels too, I believe).

As a temporary workaround I've prepared a version of the game with built-in achievements which is waiting for approval by GOG. If the bug related to the GOG Galaxy achievements is resolved in the near future I'll be sure to make them available.
Ren'Py devs don't get access to GOGs API, since they don't release games here, so they can't offer a standard and it has to be implementd in every game separatly. At least that was the status a few months ago. The GOG interface works a bit differently from the Steam interface as I understand.
The devs of another Ren'Py game here on GOG said on discord they have someone working on GOG achievements, but so far it didn't happen.
Hi,

When will the linux version be released?

Thanks for the clarification and welcome to GOG.

Great, thank you!

Personally having both built-in achievements and through Galaxy would be perfection, so I hope they can both work.
If the game engine is Ren'Py, I know other developers have also had problems on GOG and some are still looking for a solution.

If it helps, I know that the developer "Andrealphus Games" was able to implement Galaxy achievements in its game "Love & Sex: Second Base" and the developers "Black Tabby Games" of the game "Scarlet Hollow" are also working on a solution. Perhaps you can exchange some ideas for creating some universal tool that can serve as a base for the various games created with this engine? Thanks again in any case!

This is stupid.

GoG should give one of their programmers and techs a day to look over, get familiar with RenPy, then look at the GoG API and make a .py module to connect to it, make it as simple as possible and offer it to anyone making RenPy games. Looking at how RenPy works, it shouldn't look any more complicated than marking what is an achievement (conditional check, likely certain global flags), and what signal to send to the GoG API. The API should then likely plug into the default browser to get the appropriate cookie (or communicate with Galaxy) so it can forward the user ID and achievement update to GoG, along with potentially online/offline and any other stats that may be relevant.

Always nice to hear directly from the devs.

Wish you luck and hope things get easier. I'm sure more RenPy VN's are on their way here.

I'm glad to hear directly from a dev that the site is as messed up for devs as it is for us peons.

They want to keep control over what gets shown to the outside, after all they will be held responsible for it. I can understand that.

The updated builds are currently being tested by the GOG QA team. Depending on their response, I hope those versions will be released this week. These updated builds will also include the in-game achievements.

That sounds promising. I don't know Andrealphus personally, but I might reach out to them. Their game uses the same engine as mine. A bug has been filed over at the Ren'Py repository as well, but there's not much activity as of yet.

GOG has Steam Wrapper SDK in development which should do roughly what you describe. Unfortunately there are known issues with the wrapper SDK and Ren'Py games, so it's likely the problem stems from this.

Mhmm. Other than a security viewpoint, it would feel like a token that points to a user giving access to update basically harmless data segregated data (like 1k of data) (which is unrelated to owned games, settings, purchases, forums, etc).

So i'm just not seeing why it's a difficult problem. So let's assume RenPy is impossible to integrate with an API to connect online? Fine, then give it an API to write to a file, and Galaxy would ping and check expected made files in the save folder upon open/close and send saved update information then; That would not risk any extra/new security (Though you probably won't get a popup in the middle of the game of 'Achievement! You got to level 50!' or things like that.)

I don't know.
