I finally chipped in $15 for my DRM-free digital version. I'll probably play it on my imac.

I wonder what the influx is going to be like that last hour or so. Personally, I'm holding off on upgrading to the $50 or $55 level for another hour or two as it's difficult for me to get money on my CC.

Hopefully, it stays there when kickstarter goes to collect. There's more than enough money there to make sure that the game is made and quite huge, I just hope there's enough money there to pay for the mod kit.

A mod kit would do wonders for ensuring that the game is a classic. Not that there's likely to be much of a question anyways.

They did it! 3 mil, so it appears mod tools will come after all? By George, I didn't think they'd make it, but they did.

This is ultimately good news for everybody. Even those that purchase later will get the benefit of whatever mods people make.

Personally, I'd consider doing some writing if there are other people around here interested in doing some of the other bits of creating the mod.

I know nothing about modding, nor would my computer probably be able to handle it (nVidia 7600). But you could probably team up with other people here, on the W2 forums, or someplace else. Hope it works out!

As much as I'm enjoying all these kickstarter projects I would rather all the money went to the game. Maybe we need to find or create an alternative to kickstarter.

In other news: Woohooo! Wasteland 2 is gonna be the most awesome RPG ever!

We'll see, I'm also somewhat tempted to do my own text adventure game. I could do it, but the amount of effort to QA the parser commands would make it tough. That being said, I'm sure there's enough people around to beta test a freeware text adventure game here to make it work out.
