Haha...that is really neat the grevolution needs to be spread further. Is that image from Batman: The Animated series, I can't seem to remember which episode this was in but I have seen it before. :)

Yep, it's the episode "Beware the <guessthecolor> Ghost" :)

Ah yes, the Gray Ghost which was clearly a representation of The Shadow which was one of the main inspirations for Bob Kane when he created Batman. Thanks for refreshing my memory. :)
Perhaps this is already a feature, and I'm just not finding it, but, in case it's not a feature, I'd like to able not to disclose the country I'm from to the general populace of the forum. It's a common thing on most of the forums, so I'm surprised it's not the same here. And it wouldn't be that difficult to implement, since the software probably just returns the location based on the user's IP. Just add a check box ("show my location to other users?" or some such thing) - if it's ticked off, show the location, if it's not, don't. Anyway, that's about it. :)

Ah, so that's why I've missed it. I've been looking in the forum section. No blank or undisclosed option, so I guess I'll leave it as it is. Thanks, ErekoseDM.

There is a "Rest of the World" option though.
I am not sure where to ask this , but the question(s) that's been bugging me since recently is (are) : why all these changes have been, dare I say, forced on us without much 'foreplay' ? gog.com has always put to good use 'polls' and 'inquiries', didn't that hold great results in the past ? or are all those changes more related to your business partners rather than your customers ?

My summarized opinion on this overhaul kind of relates to the reason why I stopped using steam as much as used to : a design, with all its limitations and lack of customization, is the new reality and it comes out of nowhere without any choice -> that's puzzling.

Point is : some discussion/preparation would have been nice, or a beta stage or whatever, can you imagine how contributors like Barefoot_Monkey or MrKagano feel ? (maybe they are fine, I certainly hope so, but I feel like their involvement has been neglected)

(not the real) Bottom line : I don't think the new design is absolutely good or bad (although definitely a bit buggy and rough, but that's fine). However I really think it's a hasty misuse of resources.

I think I have this thread and the announcements to read once more because I may as well have completely missed something ; I can't figure how/why I ended up here.

Edit : some english fixing

Thanks! I would never have found it on my own.

EDIT: Hm, all right, being a n00b again. Is it really impossible to PM somebody simply by typing in their username? Do we have to come to the forums, and click on PM beneath the username?

Pretty much, yes. But once you have sent or received a PM for the first time, you can have that person on your My Messages tab.
WAIT A MINUTE!

When did "Rest of the World" become an option?

Cool. :D
I've probably missed something obvious here but when I do a search is there any way that the results can be ordered date wise? At the moment the date order is random which makes it difficult to find the latest posts especially when the search returns many pages of results. Thanks :)

This has been a pet peeve of many forum users... ever since GOG was formed.

LOL! I love how this thread has become the alt-discuss your experiences thread...

GOG=Clueless in Poland

Oh well, I am back to waiting in an endless line to have my papers stamped by someone unhelpful in order to enter a grey box. Will I be happy then? Will anyone? What is the meaning of life with color and features and ALL the things? Is it grey?....

What a damn stupid web design idea! Thanks for the verification though - I'm glad it's not just me doing something wrong.
