Ghostbreed: Joe hisses at anything that doesn't give him more money.
Joe just hisses at anything since people are catching on to him not exactly being passionate about the world of video games, at least in the sense he made himself out to be in his early days. I can't find it, but he actually denounces how he used to refer to himself as the voice of the gamers in Twitter when someone asked him about it in recent times.

SpooferJahk:
That's pretty obvious though

Ghostbreed: Don't get me started on Joe. He rants the first minute, then licks the developers' asses the next when he meets them at E3 or whatever. Plus that he defends Anita Sarkeesian.
Don't speak ill of Joe! I tried it recently, and got downvoted by fanboys all the way to Satan'sarseville, population me, and a fellow by the name Benedict Arnold.

Of course but seeing the egg finally crack under pressure is still something though, and amusing to watch for jerks such as I. :P

He knows where the money is I'll give him that!

And me as well ;)

Ghostbreed: And today I saw video of his capture card. Also seemed rather innocent until he showed a sticker that came along the device. A sticker with his logo on along with the logo of Sims 4 because he's such a fanboy of those games. "What a nice gesture!" he said all surprised, like he didn't knew...

I hate when good people turn greedy and only do it for the money. LGR wasn't the first and won't be the last either.
Ummm, so what was so greedy about it?

Honestly i watched the video too, and although he did praise the hardware half of the product he said the software was crap and didn't recommend doing anything with it until it's fixed.

Let's keep in mind, he's reviewing a product, he wasn't PAID to review the product (from what i can tell) but he got the product for free so he could give his opinions on it. If you get paid to review something you are automatically biased, and when you're biased you usually will skew or avoid commenting on stuff because you want to leave it in a good light because you owe it to them. I didn't get that impression from LGR's video.

That doesn't make it any better.

But... why would it make it worse? It's entirely possible Clint could have bought one in the future and reviewed it on his own, which is like a 2% possibility, or there's a 100% chance he could look at it if it's given to him, which... makes this wrong... how?

Food critics won't five a meal a 5-star rating just because they got a bowl of free icecream, and game critics/reviewers shouldn't give a game a top rating just because they got a key. It's their job to review it. I remember Totalbiscuit going on about this where he literally gets more keys for games than he could possibly cover, so getting something so he could review it doesn't mean anything, there's plenty of cases where they purchase a game just so they can review it.

Hardware is no different.
Sigh, what-the-fuck-ever.
I think some user reviews on Steam are very strange. Instead of review, they try to either promote a game or degrade an "OK" game. When you read their so-called reviews, it looks like that most of them never really played that reviewed game. Unfortunately, I guess some gaming websites do same things. So I always consider both critic/gaming website and user reviews. Also, it's good to watch gameplay videos and then decide to buy/not buy a game.

Some review the games and give them bad scores just because they're too expensive. The review system, as anything else associated with Steam is either abused or broken.

Agree, but some users write helpful reviews. Also, both fans and haters abuse/break the average score.

Of course. Fans of certain game overrates it and haters underrate it.

Yeah, and the inclusion of a score which greatly oversimplifies the result ends up as total crap. I'm reminded of Nick talking about it (From Rev3Games before it shut down), how he reviewed South Park and the stick of truth. He gave it like a 3/5 and listed his reasons (He also put he was a big fan of the series); However every fanboy hated him because rather than read the review they saw the number and told him to go to hell, regardless of little flaws like having to manually click and sell every piece of garbage you collect (just as one off the top of my head).

*Sigh*
