UPDATE: Last chance to grab your games from the original list! Make sure to get them until June 8, 12:59 PM UTC.

Want more games? We've got more games! Three new titles are now available through GOG Connect:

- Kona
- Defender's Quest
- Door Kickers

You can get them until June 13, 1:59 PM UTC.

Today, we're launching a new program called GOG Connect. The premise is simple: connect your Steam account and add your eligible games to your GOG.com library.

Whether you're checking us out for the first time or have been with us for a while, GOG Connect gets you DRM-free versions of your games, digital extras, and a whole lot of freedom of choice (like whether you go with the GOG Galaxy client or not). It gets you our take on game ownership, and we say: why buy the games more than once?

Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow's Number None, TaleWorlds and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam.

The full list of games will always be available on connect.gog.com, starting with these and more:

- The Witness
- FTL: Faster Than Light
- The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut
- Galactic Civilizations 3
- Trine Enchanted Edition
- Saints Row 2
- Shadowrun Returns
- The Witcher: Enhanced Edition

While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles onboard in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!

For a bit more library-building, a bunch of our favorite titles will also be discounted up to -85% all week long, including The Witness, Saints Row: The Third, System Shock 2 and more. You can check out all the deals here. The sale will last until June 6, 12:59 PM UTC.
Apprently they failed to mention that you have to set you Steam Profile Privacy settings to Public for the Proflie Status and the Inventory. It showed all my games after doing changeing those settings from Friends Only.
So if it doesn't work for you it might be those settings.

It shows Mount & Blade for me, but I don't have it on steam..

my fault, sorry about that..

I don't understand the business move. How does this help GOG when Steam is already immensely bigger and usually offers much more attractive sales? Will this site become just the DRM-free backup of Steam games?

I'm very skepical, and I don't like this even a bit.

mohsin9221: No eligible games found

i own every game on steam, should be called GOG Failed to Connect
Does MadyNora's post possibly apply?

MadyNora: Wow nice!
Many people report that GOG can't recognise their games.
Do you have your profiles set to "private"? If it's private, GOG can't read what games you have.
I un-privated it for 3 minutes to redeem my games (Braid and Broken Sword), then went back to private again.

XYCat: this is like brutal, but I just hope it's not a step on the road to getting bought by GabeN.
I hope so, too.

My reaction to this is "Eww." I could get many, many games if I decided to take advantage of it, but I won't. I know it will take me lots of money and time to re-buy the games I owned, but I'm fine with it—I wouldn't have quit Steam if I wasn't.

Besides, I don't think GOG and the developers would get a share by doing this, so that's another reason why I don't want to use this system. In my opinion, another portion of my money should be spent if I want to get another version.
Funny thing, until now I never realized how similar my gog and Steam avatars are. :)
Well, I think the best is to wait a few hours and try it again.
Right now the servers seem to be clogged with requests.

Interesting program, Gog!
Thanks!
EDIT: Guess my original post appeared. I thought it disappeared.

Nice feature, even if I only have an old empty Steam account.

Btw, I still don't know how you can afford this thing..

Same way the redemption of "The Witcher" keys did.

Quite a few people have a sizable "investment" in Steam games but want to move to GOG for various reasons. GOG connect allows those people to come to GOG with some (hopefully all at some point) of their games. Biggest hurdle for all digital distributors is the initial account creation, after that people are much more likely to shop there.
Absolutely amazing! I'm a little disappointed Pillars of Eternity is not on the list but an impressive feature nonetheless.

Calamity: Say we get FTL now on GoG because we also have it on steam, does that mean we have a limited time to added it to our GoG account or does that mean it will disappear from our GoG account once it's no longer offer via connect?
Limited time, same as if a game was offered free for 48 hours.
It doesn't find the games for me as well.
