Leroux: I was approached by an anonymous gnostic who suggested to increase the temptation with Shadows: Heretic Kingdoms. So, let me ask you a question: If you were to choose between Shadows and The Inquisition, which would be your poison? If you refuse to answer, I will assume you're lusting for both, but remember, Avaritia is a sin.
*ahem*
What you, sir, Inquisitor sir, outline as greed I establish that it is instead the power of will. Would a leader be leader if he isn't powerful and willing enough to be a leader?

Alas, while my answer is undoubtedly correct, it is not the right answer to your question. Considering you, as the leader of this movement decree that such an action as lusting for both is a sin, and a sinful person would not be an innocent person, it appears to me that the correct answer would be to choose one of the two options listed above. As such, I decided to go with Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition. After all, what is a sequel without its prequel? Since I have not delved into the series yet, in spite of the Pentagon trying to frame me, I establish that it is wise to start with the beginning, as opposed to starting with the middle since according to the sequel's product page the second update of the game has not been released yet.

ET3D: A 665 +1 for you.

And here, a cask of ale for you. Go ahead, after a few draughts everyone will look innocent.
Are you implying that you're innocent, too?
avatar
Leroux: you have one chance to prove to me that you're innocent. I don't care how you do it, but the most convincing lie will be rewarded with one free copy of the sacrilegious Heretic Kingdoms: The Inquisition, kindly donated by a treacherous soul.
Those who claim innocence are guilty, for men are liars. Thus, the only way to prove innocence is to claim guilt. I am guilty, and that is my lie.
Needless to say, if you accept it, your corruption will be evident. If you refuse to take part in this test, it will only raise further suspicions. Any questioning of the test and its implicit rules will be treated as heresy. The truth will be known, whenever it reveals itself to us.
My corruption IS evident to all, for I am a man, and Man is corrupt. I will not refuse to take part, for I am a man, and Man must show courage. I will not question the test, for I am a man, and Man must Obay. The truth is already known, it is only for us to see it.
but remember, Avaritia is a sin.
We all sin, which can only be redeemed by L̶i̶c̶u̶r̶g̶ sacrifice. So I shall make that sacrifice, and accept this heresy to my bosom, so that others need not. You may give your gift to me, so that I may give my gift to the world.

All those who resisted the lure of The Inquisition, can they resist the temptation of Shadows as well? It's not too late for a confession, if this is what you really desire.

Nah, I was never a part of the in crowd.
I'm in the middle of playing the Inquisition. So i would like to be engulfed by Shadows after i finish the heretics.

Gah. Satan means business.

BUT, I haven't played the first one yet (which I own already), and my RPG/aRPG backlog is overwhelming (Pillars keep being extended, haven't touched Wastelands 2 yet, Bard's Tale looks fun as hell, Shadowrun looks awesome, I haven't finished Inquisitor, and there's still Divine Divinity to conclude and its sequels to begin), so, trying to snatch S:HK from someone who might really mean to play it soon, would be SINFUL.

I prefer to walk to the eternal pyre for less embarrassing reasons.

I'm in for Shadows (!) because it sure looks interesting to me but I can't buy it due to my principles regarding regional pricing and because I'm pure and ideal for the job. :P

Leroux: A lot of twisted minds and souls in this thread, but so far only four sinners ready to face trial, unless anyone escaped my unwavering attention. So a voice from above told me to up the ante. Re-read the OP to learn the new rules.
I edited my previous post to conform to the new rules. I can resist all other temptations but not the dark temptation that is Heretic Kingdoms The Inquisition.

I serve the light. I'm one of the chosen sergeants of the Children of the Light. No one has a more unblemished record than I! You must pick me, because I'm so pious and worthy [um, not really]. I can avoid the temptation of the Shadow [in for Shadow], as I have avoided the first Heretic Kingdom [note to self: go play backlog!] I do promise to defeat anyone that gets in the way of my Inquisition! I will be faithful to the cause, and take care of all those needy woman ... Oh, that didn't come out right.

I will be the best inquisitor around. Unless there are woman involved. I cannot say no to a pretty face. Hmm, let's try that again.

I promise to defeat anyone that gets in the way of the Inquisition as long as someone else handles the woman ...

*sigh* and the strong drink. Men get thirsty, you know. Especially at the bar. Hmm, let's try one more time.

I promise to defeat anyone that gets in the way of the Inquisition as long as someone else handles the wine, woman, and song. Especially those that we don't sing at the monastery...

Oh no, I've done again.

Yes, I'd take cash (or cows) for any indugences (future sins) the people felt the need to pre-pay for. I bet I could make a mint. We could enrich ourselves off of the backs of the poor! Err...

Right, well, so maybe I'd not be exactly the best Shadow Inquisitor, but you'll surely the almighty won't mind if I partake of some wine, woman, song, and money from the poor who aren't going to spend it wisely anyway.

Maybe I need to be turning myself in, then, instead of inquisitioning. We'll see what the head decides.
Well, I'm guilty of having a huge backlog and I'm sure his Atheistic Majesty the evolution of the human species won't allow me to live long enough to play all games I own (with 200+ games owned and a rate of me finishing about 1-2 games a year, chances are slim). So I daren't say I'm nearly as innocent enough to even become a Shadow of an Inquisitor. Even though the rules are bended. And twisted. And warped. And stuff.

I am Grey. I stand between the candle and the star. We are Grey. We stand between the darkness and the light.
Judgement Day is drawing near. This is your last chance to plead innocent.

Were you part of the IT Crowd?

And I'm in, if that wasn't clear. (Will this sack of silver buy me an Indulgence?)
