kjx: RICO

johnki: Huh. If it is, I wonder if I should buy it. I got it with the Groupees bundle a while ago, but
supposedly, it was a "special Groupees build."
Yeah, it was one of their extended demos.
New game is indeed Rico.
Well at least it isn't a Bit.Trip game.

Off to spend my dollar and dime!
And, it's a good game?

Hmm, dunno... there's a demo on Desura though.

I'm not updating the OP until GOG fixes the formatting issues. They broke formatting last time they did anything to the site too...

Downloaded the demo...

Not sure, might be worth asking on their forum.
Game requires Java, right? Does the Desura version install it for the game? I know groupees doesn't.

I don't want to just install Java globally on my system - seems to be prone to vulnerabilities despite the "sandbox".
hm, i might get this one.
95 eurocents to beat the average... I actually bought that.
Just bought it :)
Played the demo, liked it, bought it. It's really nothing outstanding or particularly interesting, and still it's oddly enjoyable. Simple yet efficient controls, smooth and intuitive, quite nice chip tune soundtrack, selectable difficulty levels, checkpoint system and auto-saving that make it comfortable to play during coffebreaks - I can even appreciate the simplistic indie-hipster pseudo-retro graphics. Fact is, I've played much better looking platformers that were much less fun to play. :)
Last day to get Rico. Hints for next game:

1 - Genre Repeater!

so it means next one is a platformer type of game?
1 - Genre Repeater!
2 - Definitely on Greenlight - Steam Keys if we get it there
3 - AMAZING Soundtrack!
Way too many platformers on Greenlight, many have good soundtracks, so....
