Sold! and received the desura key for SmashBox!
Anyone got a spare Desura key for Gnomoria from IGS? I missed it because it was my birthday and I was drunk and morose all that week. Can buy you something (of slightly higher value :P) in return.

amok: Build a bundle 4 - Legend of Dungeon?
That's the one.
Hey guys! It's been a while since I've posted in this thread. I asked Mike if he could give me a heads up about when DROD:GatEB was going to be on IndieGameStand (or if there would be a holiday sale on their site). So without further ado...

DROD: Gunthro and the Epic Blunder will be featured on Indie Game Stand from December 11-14th! This will include the Flood Warning expansion pack and the full "Deadly Rooms of Death" soundtrack!

IronStar: Completely offtopic: I think I should try teaming up with few creative people, so I(we) can try making something in RPG maker. It doesn't look too hard from what I've seen.

Azilut: I played around with it a few years ago, and starting with zero knowledge of the program, I was able to knock a short RPG together in several hours. Now, it was not a good RPG, mind, you, but it had several dungeons, a main quest, some sidequests, an end boss, and lots of dialogue. So yeah, I'd say it was pretty easy to use, though probably less so if you want to do things differently than the way it's initially set up for.
Thanks for info. I'll definitely try to make something at some point.

If you want to make a commercial game though, it would be nice to come up with your own graphics and music, instead of using the stock ones :)

Yeah, of course. Using stock ones for commercial game is...bad idea.
Now for the story....I guess I'll have to resort to some random fanfic.

There's something wrong with that when Avernum Escape from the Pit/Avernum games are not there on the front page, and yet Geneforge series is. Geneforge is interesting game, no doubt, but more or less is made for people that like to get punished by the game they are playing ;)
Just as a heads up for any Linux gamers out there, Wyv and Keep is not currently on Linux (even though the announcement on the IndieGameStand blog said that it was). I contacted support about it because there wasn't any mention of Linux on the main page. Apparently the developer is working on Linux support though.

I'll admit that the graphics aren't the best but I think it's a pretty good puzzle game. It starts out fairly easy and gets harder as you go on. The main character is so weak that 1 hit will kill him, but he wields a big ass sword that can kill any enemy with 1 hit. But it's not that easy as there are many different enemies with different AIs and sometimes you can't use your sword at all. In order to progress to the next level you have to clear every room of the level that you are on by killing all the enemies. I don't want to give too much info on the enemies because I think it's fun when you encounter a new enemy and have to figure out a strategy. There's also a story to it with voice acting with some cheesy jokes thrown in.

Yeah, it's not sold on Desura or Steam (yet). From what I know these games could have been on GOG but neither side could agree on the price. I was told some time ago that they were trying to get their games sold on Desura so that might have been the problem there too. Right now their trying to get the game Greenlit on Steam and they say they will provide Steam keys to everyone who has already bought the game.

I recommend that you get it. Of course, I'm a bit biased since DROD is my favorite series of puzzle games. I mostly like to play RPGs but I find myself keeping a DROD game installed on my pc for some puzzle fun :) You can download the demo below and try it out for yourself. Just remember that the puzzles (and enemies) are really easy at first but get harder as the level goes higher.

You can download a demo of the game HERE (for Mac, Windows, or Linux)
You can check out the Greenlight page HERE

Edit: Sorry for this big texty post. I probably should have mentioned that it's turn-based. For every move you make, every enemy on the screen can make a move. If you aren't careful you can find yourself surrounded by enemies and die. Or find your sword pointed in the wrong direction and can't swing it around fast enough and die. Mostly, you'll die. That's why it's called Deadly Rooms of Death :D

DROD is one of the most awesome puzzle game series ever made. Do yourself a favour and try DROD: Architects' Edition which is freeware. You will get a good impression of what the series is about.

This game looks boring... Anyone care to contradict me?

Barefoot_Monkey: Wyv and Keep was my favourite game from the Alpha Bundle. I don't know how they could call it an alpha though - it was more polished than most finished products.
Didn't even realize I already owned it till I saw this...
